Dr. Irwin is ab absolute GEM. She cares so much and has a lot of passion. She will help however she can. She goes above and beyond. She's very interesting to listen to and she is not a tough grader. If you email her at any time of the day or night she will respond within 5-10 minutes. She's a good person and a great professor. Take any class.

What a lovely woman. She is extremely helpful and is very down to earth. Class was a little "yawny" but easy and by the book. Assignments are straight forward, and she helps to work with you if you're in need of help. If you need to take this class, take it with her

Dr. Irwin's class was always nap time for me, I had no motivation to attend this class which is her just reading off slideshows. Boring. Grades really hard, know your material word for word and proofread all essays.

Her personality has alot to be desired,but is helpful when you need it.She is into herself and critical to others opinions during discussions.Tests are hard,but gives a study guide to help.Grades hard on papers-is percise, use the writing lab if english skills are not up to par.horrible book used!

This class was probably one of my worst, because I felt that Irwin was self absorbed. She was a had grader and if your opinions dont fit into her criteria for mass comm in society -than you are wrong..... She definitely could of been a better teacher.

Was looking forward to this class, my roommate said it was the easiest A ever, and he was right. Babs was ok, just agree with her ideas no matter what you think, and give her praise. Also, don't call her Babs, she hated when i did that.
