As long as you show up to class and take notes on the lectures, then youll be fine. She barely referenced the textbook, but her quizzes are vague in terms of what material to study. She doesnt really ask for much other than a six page article review.

Loved this class, very easy to pass. She usually like to read off of word doc so sometimes it can get a little boring but she is very funny. Barely any homework except readings, and the quizzes were quite easy as well (Four questions, choose one topic to write 2 paragraphs on). Participation isnt mandatory, just take notes youre good.

Stop what you're doing right now and never take her in any capacity. Her lectures make no sense, we took a class poll on a quiz and not even 1 person got an A. Its a Gen-ed and she is obnoxiously critical of everything. Seriously if you want an A or don't want to eat a bullet, look for another teacher.

She is a nice professor and a fair grader. She is very polite too, because I am a Chinese and my first name is hard to pronounce, she always calling me Ms. with my last name. She only gives four quizzes and one article review (4 pages Minimum, follow her direction exactly), no midterm, no final exam, no presentations. She made my freshman year!

Don't take her. Unless you are a history maniac who could care less about the professor, I would choose someone else. The lecture felt like an eternity, she just reads word-for-word from a 30 page word doc that she wrote. There are 4 quizzes, the content of those are never stated explicitly, it's basically guesswork. Only good thing is final paper

Avoid this class. Even if its your last resort keep avoiding this professor. She is very rude, she will mock you in front of the class. Despite her heavy accent, she does know her material just does a horrible job delivering it. Only good side is there is no midterm just quizzes and a final paper for a final. Even with final paper she is no help.

Very strict grading, however just follow instructions and guidelines for her paper and you will do fine. She gives quizzes they are easy if u know the material, you can just take pics of the material she uses proyector for the lecture. Everything is written

Not sure what all the negative feedback is on this woman. She was a totally reasonable Professor who would go out of her way to help you via review sheets and highlighting what she wants you to remember. Just do the work. Nothing more or less is required of you. I personally witnessed her help struggling students. I would recommend her.

A very terrible professor. Not fair, quite rude and does not have the littlest respect for her students. She is a very stubborn professor! She's also very contradicting and confusing. She refuses to hear the students. I totally disagree with +, yes this is college but does not mean a professor could speak to anyone disrespectfully!

THE WORST!!!!!!! She gave me back my 6 page article paper with no grade and is a very very very stubborn woman. Refuses to be asked any questions on anything or discuss anything with you. I'd say she is the worst professor I've had by far. AVOID TAKING HER CLASS!!! Terrible and Boring. THUMBS DOWN!!

Avoid if possible. Heavy accent. Boring lecturing every class. You need the textbook, you'll use it frequently. She gives essay quizzes every class based on the chapter assigned. If you do the readings and know your stuff these will boost your grade. Midterm & final are essay form as well. One article review, 5 pages. Definitely old school, no cellphones, computers, iPads, etc. Can't have any food or drinks in class ( no, not even water).

Not the best professor. THICK accent & she stresses that this course is a reading & writing class. All quizzes and tests are essays. No cohesiveness to the review sheets, most of them have typos & are not very helpful. A 5 page article review is also required. She gives you the questions for the midterm and final, which is the only good thing.

Does have a Guyanese accent, but you should be able to understand her. Great professor in spite of all that, you just have to pay attention. Great sense of humor. Light workload. Easy 1 question quiz every week, one paper, a midterm and take home final.

This is COLLEGE and she is a great COLLEGE professor. All you have to do listen, read the material , and respect her rules. I got an A in her class because I studied, read her review sheets, and respected her class. If your lazy and your looking to just go to class and show no effort then your not going to do well which is expected.
