By far one of the best professors, I've ever had. She is passionate and honestly loves the French language. I loved her as a professor so much I had her made my academic advisor. She even makes your life easier by producing the text book, although she does ask for you to cover the costs of binding it ($20).

I took French in high school so I was really afraid to take Spanish, but Barb made it really easy to be comfortable. She was really nice about correcting you if you were wrong and working with you to get better. Almost all of your homework is on BlackBoard so make sure you keep up with it or your grade will suffer. She's very sweet and helpful.

This was the worst teacher i had in my two years at flcc. I was so interested in french until I took her class I wish I would have withdrew when I had the chance. I will do everything in my power to never had to take a course with her again. She is just the worst teacher.

Barb is a great person. She is a teacher who helps you get what you're doing and is always availible to help via email or in personal meetings. You do need to be good with arriving on time and turning in our work, but that's school so don't blame her for it. Get to know her and take her classes, because she was wonderful!

I took English 101 with her. The class was relaxed, but at times she could be sarcastic and on edge. Tough grader, but take advantage of office hours, she is very helpful when she isn't teaching. Very strict on being late. Once she kicked a guy out because he got to class 15 mins after it was supposed to start.

Comment:

Lots of fun projects and group work as opposed to boring lectures. You can tell that she really cares about what she teaches and wants her students to succeed. I was taking the class for a teaching requirement and didn't really care at first, but she made the subject really interesting. She's great.
