Acts as if she cares about your opinion but will tare you down if it does not agree with hers. Nice woman but you can clearly tell she only cares about the students who are Women and Gender Studies majors. She reviews before tests and they are identical to the review so take notes!

I took the class as a gen ed requirement and it was very easy as long as you did the readings and paid attention in class. There was only a midterm and a final exam. There were also short responses to the weekly readings but she graded them easily. She accepts different opinions and never seemed too biased.

Dr. LeSavoy has been one of the most influential prof's here at Brockport. If you can take her class, do it! Just do all the work and ask questions. She has great office avail. and wants to help!! A very passionate women who cares about everyone in the class, even the people with different ideas and views.

Take her class. One of the most passionate women that I have ever met! Cares about her students. You are given a study sheet before any test. Grades papers a little harder then everything else in the course (you will only have 1 paper due finals week) Participate and you wont walk out with below a B at the end of the year. Participation matters!

Barb is an amazing professor who knows a lot. She is open to different views, although hers may be different. I strive to become as knowledgeable as her, and as passionate about this topic as I can be. Take her class. She is amazing.

I loved Dr. Lesavoy!! Her lectures are so interesting, and she really gets you involved in a fun and meaningful way. A decent amount of reading to keep up with, but she opened my eyes to so many different ways of thinking through the readings. I would highly recommend taking a class with her if you have the chance!

Awful teacher. one of the most closed minded person i have ever met. if she does not like your opinion, she will basically tell you that it's wrong. have of the class is over dramatized with things that do not exist. it is a class for feminist who think they are intelligent, but actually really ridiculous and judgmental against men..

She's a decent teacher and some of the content I actually found super interesting. She definitely picked on the 2 boys in our class and is a huge feminist. She's super opinionated and set in her ways so it's best if you agree with her. If you talk in class and make valid points, she'll like you. You use the book a lot.

I thought Sex and Culture was pretty interesting. Dr. Lesavoy liked me,so that was good. But I noticed that she sometimes will disregard what someone says and keep going with her thought process. Not a bad teacher, though. Her two exams are pretty straightforward and the readings are easy. Just participate and do discussion ?s. Good if interested

I am a very open minded easy going person and seriously cannot stand her.. if i don't like her I don't know who will. she's rude, she doesn't care about your opinion. she made me feel stupid. the only reason i'm writing this is that i hope she reads it and changes her ways

A very easy class. Hardly no assignments, most of class was having discussions. It was very enjoyable and she makes it into a great atmosphere to share your opinions and talk with everyone. Sometimes she isn't entirely clear about what information is most important.
