She is a great teacher but very difficult! Lectures are boring but if you pay attention and ask questions, you will be fine. There is homework, group project, and exams. The study guide is the exact same as the exam, so go to the review. Don't get discouraged, she will help you!

Tons of group work, so make friends with your classmates early. She gives a max of 20 points of EASY extra credit every semester. When I mentioned I was taking a Six Sigma certification, she gave me a bunch of her old books and presentations to study. I don't know if I would take her again, but she wasn't bad.

Ridiculous amounts of work with the labs and homework for just enough points that you have to do it, but not enough to help your grade in any way. Angry tone in emails. Disrespectful. Not helpful. Thinks her goofy online class is the most important one anyone will ever take, regardless of the fact that it should only be in the requirements for stat

Dr. Osyk was a pretty good teacher, but she is also somewhat arrogant. Seems to think that her classes will demand the world of you and that you better be prepared to sacrifice a huge chunk of time to do her assignments.. in reality, her stuff isn't that hard, and a few hours is all you need to succeed.

Business Stats really intimidated me but I did decent on tests thanks to cheat sheets. Going to class definitely helps. Find friends to help with quizzes, online homework, and projects. The Extra Credit boost is huge.

Ok Osyk was definitely a very good professor. I HATE STATS WITH A PASSION. But I got an A in Bstats this semester. All you have to do is pay attention and put in the effort! Explains things very well!

Osyk is a great professor! She allows you to have cheat sheets on all your exams (3) and there is also a case you work on all semester, but she divides it up for you. Does review in class and you can also download her other review on SB; tests are just like review and she does curve! She's always nice and willing to chat about life

Took the combined Business Stats and Analytics with her. Her stats class was great, easy to follow, got cheat sheets on the tests. Analytics was tougher, no tests except the final, mostly group projects which I wasn't a fan of. Part of the tests or quizzes were normally take-home though and she was quite a liberal grader.

she explains the material fairly well in the beginning but puts a lot of work on the students and explains the material briefly toward the end of the semester. she also refuses to curve any exams regardless of the class avg. bc she says you don't learn by receiving a curve. nice lady but makes the class more difficult than it should be.

Hrm, she's decent. I'm not going to "highly" recommend her, but you should be okay if you study. I had Cathy Martin for I, and she was straightforward about everything = made it easy to understand. Osyk doesn't do that exactly; she probably overexplains, so in the end it doesn't help so much...but she's willing to help you out. Hard first test!

Have you ever had a real job? I don't think she has... Boring and sometimes acts like she has no clue what she is talking about. Once again, another prof who complains about the book/overhead materials, yet does not do anything on her own (as far as giving her own work/oppinions). Why am I paying for profs like this?

A decent prof with reasonable workloads... for QBA. Don't get me wrong, it still sucks. The one thing I found was that she overexplained EVERYTHING - she had to turn a 1 sentence explanation into 6. Expect 2 group case/projects and 3 tests, all of which must be worked out by hang (no mult choice)
