Comment:

I'm an exercise science major and took microbio because it seemed interesting. Dr. Pollock made this my favorite class so far in my college experience. Not only did she make the material fun but a lot of the things I learned have stuck with me long after I took the class. She educates her students about real world microbiology.

Comment:

Pollock is an AMAZING professor. She is hilarious and is truly passionate about teachingmicrobiology. Her good attitude reflected during all of her lectures and she is extremely helpful if you email her or go to her office hours. She sets you up for an A with her study guides and availability, so if you fail that is completely your own fault.

Dr. Pollock is a great teacher and I am really glad I took her for Micro. Her tests are mostly right from the study guide class notes which are mostly fill in the blank. She is very understanding about missing class if you just send her an email and don't abuse it. Very helpful as well.

Dr. Pollock is by far one of the best professors in the biology dept. If any of her classes are offered, TAKE IT. You won't regret it. Med micro is a very interesting subject, lectures were clear, exams were very fair, and assignments were not difficult. She's awesome!

Really great professor! She has a great sense of humor and sincerely cares if you are struggling in her class. Study guides are LIFE! You can get an A on exams with just the study guides but I strongly recommend buying the textbook. Give yourself enough time to really study the study guides because they can be very long for some chapters.

Dr. Pollock is seriously a god-send. I took 3 labs the semester I had her and I still looked forward to going to her class and her labs. Labs are twice a week. Notes are given to you with your lab manual and are fill in the blank. I seriously considered changing my major to Microbiology after taking her class.

She is great! she makes really funny comments every once in a while that make lecture and lab entertaining. her tests are based completely on her outline notes and there is no need to buy the textbook at all. She is really helpful and is wonderful in lab, i would highly recommend her!

Dr. Pollock is amazing! If you have to take Micro she is def the one to take! She is so clear and light hearted. As long as you go to class and pay attention and use her notes, there is no reason to get lower than a B. She definitely makes a hard class fun! Kudos to Dr. Pollock! Going to miss this class!

Dr. Pollock is amazing! Tests are fairly easy just study the notes (fill in the blank), the book isn't really necessary. She tells stories about her life that relate to micro and are actually interesting. She is the NICEST teacher and she is extremely clear and straightforward. Lab is pretty awesome too. I LOVE DR. Pollock!! No lie, this was one of the best classes ever. The class notes are part of the manual you will buy at the bookstore, and you literally just fill in the blanks during lecture. She is really nice and will help you in any aspect of the class. Absolutley take her if you can. (Don't buy the main Micro book though, you won't use it)

Words can explain Dr. Pollock.... She has printed notes that are fill in the blank which the test come exactly from... I opened the book twice all semester to look up definitions....... Study and you'll get an A definetly..... Labs are fun but can be confusing
