She was the best professor I had at pcc. She cared about our generation and actually moved me and changed my perception in life for the better. Yes she may go off topic but she's taught us life lessons. Not to be so ignorant and to become involved. I agreed with her in many aspects. On the last day of class I thanked her 4 being such an inspiration

Comment:

Mrs. Turner is possibly the best teacher I've ever had. She is so, so passionate about psych and really knows her stuff. Her grading is very fair; there are 4 tests, 50 pnts each. She gives extra credit. She can be harsh, but not so much after a few weeks. Her stories are so useful for remembering concepts. Take her, you'll learn a TON!

She added me to her class when it was super full. I appreciate that! She gets off topics sometimes and talk a lot about her experiences and such. It's entertaining but it doesn't focus much on learning. She tries her best to demonstrate and guide us through her work book. I enjoyed going to her class.

After 3 weeks of attending her 4-hour Friday morning lectures, I withdrew. It wasn't the length of the course, but the actual content of her lectures that is distasteful. For a psychologist, I found her to be extremely close-minded; for example, she considers conservatives to be the root of America's problems. Take Turner if you believe in bigotry.

This professor is crazy. She talks about her family and only her family. If you ask a question she will make you feel really dumb. I don't recommend this teacher unless you are really interested in this subject. I was excited to take this class but after taking it I really disliked it.

i liked her as a person and i thought she was a great teacher but one thing i really didn't like about this class was all the busy work she gave. had to read A LOT and to complete like 100 worksheets. I'm just a hands on person and if you're like me i don't recommend this class...but she's kool :)

she made this class fun. she was so passionate about this subject that I looked forward to every class and was sad when it was over. best teacher I've ever had. it was a privilege to be in her class. i got an A even though i was quiet and didn't participate much. i learned so much in her class. tests were also open notes by the end

Awesome teacher! She cares about her students and is very fair. She goes over the study guides. Her tests are based on study guides, and you have to read the book. She is very interesting! She may be a lil on the hard side though you actually have to learn the material!! Her tests have trick questions, but she makes you use your brain awesome teach

I took her last fall, during the presidential campaigns, and I love Obama. She got our class involved in current events and the election and I love that about her; she respects students as young adults and challenges you to use your brain!! I loved this about her class; I would recommend her to anyone who cares about school; you have to read!! =]

Great teacher...black woman with attitude. Loves to talk about her life and life in general. Hands out study guides, and so she's always very specific about what will appear on tests. This made it easy for me to study, and I aced all her tests! Teaches very clearly, though she tends to go on tangents...but she's a very good psych teacher. Take her!

What is a good teacher? One who challenges their intelligence! That is exactly what she does. She might go off about her personal life but hey, utilize those times in class to catch up on reading! Don't believe what people are saying about he being a horrible teacher, shes awesome. You NEED to read and do the worksheets, study for tests and you'll be fine. She offers extra credit at the end of the semister(not a paper) I say take the class you'll be glad you did.

not a good teacher. Very hard compared to other psych teachers people have told me about. Her lectures and stories get annoying. The tests require deep understanding of the material, not just reading. One time got really mad because nobody would answer her question about the material. Don't take the class.

One thing to consider: she only grades you on 4 things - which are 4 exams. 200 points possible, with four 50 pt. exams. If you don't read the book, your screwed.
