Chasin is hard. She doesn't coddle your views - she challenges you. Do your research - if you don't agree, back it up. She respects that. She's not "anti-american". It's "anti-american" to use a bully pulpit to stifle someone's freedom of speech.

She is the worst! DO NOT TAKE THIS CRAZY LADY. She teachers her whole class based on this novel book which is awful. Test are open answer but really hard because she wants you to know certain specific details. The amount of reading she assigns is insane and a lot of boring lectures. I ended up failing, my friend worked her ass off and she got a D-

Hated the class. Really interesting subject matter but presented in a biased way (even though I was in agreement with the prof...i have the same bias!) and was made very boring. The tests are difficult and often are on things that were covered in the readings but not class. Pretty difficult and not fun, but at least there's no papers or homework.

By far the worst professor Ive encountered. I did all the work and worked hard on it never did well. She asks for your opinion but isn't interested in it unless its the same as hers everything else is wrong.She wrote the book used so its all her ideas,gives so many handouts 5 trees must have to be cut down every class.I wouldn’t recommend her class

nice lady, but bad teacher. she's very unorganized and all over the place. i never have any idea what she's talking about; she just jumps around to different subjects. always disagrees with students and very boring. while she's talking i read the book and took my own notes.. that's the only way i was successful. thankfully, her tests are easy.

OF COURSE she is biased...I liked her & even I can see that she is totally biased...she is very leftist, very hippie, very anti-everything-American. The class DOES open your eyes to the world around you, so if you are a blind America-lover, beware. The class is enjoyable, but be prepared for some debates with her - she sometimes gets fanatical.

Horrible woman!!! Very one sided, she wrote the text book and failed me on a test where I had the right answers but they weren't in her words or the way that she wanted it to be described! She doesn't look at other sides of situations and is very rude and horribly boring! Never take her!!!

Worst teacher I ever had. EVER. Refuses to explain, yells at students, grades are biased and random. I got an A in this class, but not due to any help of hers. She is downright unpleasant and should have retired YEARS ago. I would recommend anyone over her. She gives the Soc. Dept. a bad name.

her class was interesing and introduced a lot of ideas and concepts i never thought about. i learned a lot but her grading is very weird. i think you have to think like her to get a good grade, so write liberally. shes not an easy teacher. you actually have to work, which is rare in college so i liked it bc it challenged me.
