Good lecturer, but unable / unwilling to help me with my essay so I had to drop the course. So much for being knowledgeable and competent in communication... total hypocrite. Very uncaring person. Would not recommend this teacher or course to anyone.

Comment:
She's a good prof, very fair marker but tests are a little unpredictable sometimes. The test questions are sometimes worth 14 points each so you're screwed if you don't know it. Some things are unclear but generally a good prof. I like that she breaks up the course into 5 tests instead of a final exam so you only have to study small portions.

I worked really hard and yet it was all for not! She is such a hard marker! She acts pleasant most times but won't post full notes and complains we don't focus..well ya, if you posted more then we would focus more! She's sometimes very snoody, but overall not the worst.

Tests include questions randomly selected without ever being discussed in any depth in class. No way of knowing what bizarre questions she will focus on unless you can read minds.

Very unclear with instructions for assignments etc. Most people ended up having to re-write assignment. Doesn't seem to know what she's talking about can't really clarify questions and then turns around and gives out poor marks. Seems lazy only allows 1200 word essay between two people. Don't know why people like her. Terrible prof.

Dr. Zupan is dedicated and kind. She means what she says which is very refreshing from a professor. She is always available for help outside of class and loves giving examples of things that really matter. Great course!!

Barb gave relevant examples in the lecture material based on her own clinical experience. She gives very good explanations of tough concepts and always answers questions as best as she can. She is very understanding towards students!

I really liked Barb, she was really clear on what she wanted, and what she was teaching. She had lots of stories of her job in the field, so it was closer to home than expected. She really helped me when I was having issues with my ear - she knew what to say or where to send me. It was awesome, I enjoyed her class.

I think tht Barb is one of the most qualified LING teachers. She is still young and up to date with the best techniques to use during therapy. I found that she was super helpful when you needed help, she was always will to give suggestions. I hope all the teachers that I have from this point on are as good as Barb!!
