Batzing is a really good teacher. probably cares more about students success and well being more then other professors. he plays music and videos every class. just a really nice human being. he will answer any questions you have on tests. go to Si and you will do really well in the class. Best of the Bio 110 teachers by far.

Awesome professor, great guy and really funny.He's more then willing to help you.Material is incredibly interesting and labs are best part.Thought class would be easy because of his personality,but tests are incredibly challenging and tricky.Lot of LONG hypothetical questions.Definitely take advantage of Extra Credit,I didn't,wish I did.Great class

Barry is THE MAN. He keeps the class interesting with funny noises on his power points, music, and video clips. Interacts well with the students and really cares about them. Don't need a textbook, never really use it. Just go to class and hit up the SI sessions and you'll be fine. 4 tests, 2 in class writings, no homework.

One of my favorite classes ever! Dr. Batzing is fun and makes this class very interesting. Tests are fair, but this isn't a class you can spend 2 hours studying for. Take good notes in class and really study for the tests and you will do very well. The material is not hard, there is just a lot of it. Overall, he is an awesome teacher!!!

good teacher..tests are tricky bc he asks dumb que that he knows nobody studied like percenatge or dates etc..very passionate about bio..the T.A is the best out of any of the bio sections.. u can not understand anything at all in class and get a good grade just by going to SI routinely with her
