TAKE THIS CLASS! You will learn SO much. Workload is EASY, 3 exams & one 3-5 page paper. Discussions are a waste of time and only last about 30 minutes or less. An online quiz each week (takes 5 min or less) from discussion which you should automatically get a 100% if you have a brain. Exams come from lecture questions he gives u before class!

Barry is awesome and this is definitely one of my favorite classes I've taken. I learned so much about health and fitness. There are three lectures a week plus a discussion, 3 exams, and a research paper. I wouldn't recommend it to a lazy student, although it isn't THAT hard. If you are interested in fitness you will love this class.

I don't know what everyone is talking about. He's nice at first, but when I approached him privately during office hours for help on the content, he could care less and basically implied I was wasting his time. I'm a straight A student, but struggled in his class. His lecture questions aren't obvious during lecture. Would not recommend as a gen-ed.

One of the best classes I have taken at UMass. He gives you lecture questions before that he then answers in detail in lecture (must attend class) and then uses those questions on exams. Discussion is easy points that only help your grade. Honestly loves his job and wants all of his students to do well. Highly recommend this class!

He is soooo nice and really wants you to do well. He gives out lecture questions before every lecture and then uses them for the exam. If you go to class and discussions, which were really short i.e. 10 min, you will do well in the class. LOVED THIS CLASS!!!!

This is a great class. I thought it was going to be awful to have a 9 am three times a week but honestly he makes it worth it. He's a good professor and if you attend lecture and study the lecture questions before exams you'll be fine. Discussions are really easy- literally only had class for 10 minutes usually. Definitely recommend this!

TAKE OVER KIN 100. Really great professor. Really really REALLY easy class if you show up to lecture. tests are 95% based on lectures. he gives you 6-7 questions each lecture to focus on and thats all you need to know. Discussions are mandatory and theres a quiz each week. quizzes take 5 minutes and are very simple, based on what you talked about.
