Really cool class and way of grading. You only have to go twice a week, and one of those times is for a concert which was usually entertaining. You also need 1000 points to get an A in the class, so if you write reports and show up every time you barely have to try at the end of the semester. Lectures were boring but bearable, great professor.

1,000 pointsA. Consists of 20 points just showing up to the evening classes, unlimited attempts on textbook HW, 20 points on concert reports. Do the reports early since he doesn't grade as hard due to musical knowledge and you could get exempt for the final. I also joined his chamber orchestra last semester which was a very valuable experience.

Professor Aldridge was one of my favorite professors. I knew nothing ability music and I still passed the class with an A because of his extremely fair grading system !! Take him!!

I absolutely loved this professor. The course I took was relatively easy, super light work load, and tests were online. Always interesting to chat with during office hours and loves company. My only issue was that his lectures were a bit slow, but a great prof nonetheless

I had to take this class twice because I didn't take the concert reports seriously. Suck it up and do as many concert reports as possible! His grading system is just points from different areas added together and the higher your total at the end, the better your grade. A little confusing if you aren't a music lover. The night classes could be cool.

Very easy class. You have to go to class, write concert reports, and do the online tests and homework to get an A in the class. All the test answers are online. I did every concert report so I was exempt from the final. Night classes are very interesting.

Really clear grading system. 1000 pointsA, extremely boring lecture for nonmusical students. Expect a lot of effort for the concert reports, you will need to do 6-8 to get the A. Night classes were entertaining. Test answers are on quizlet. The textbook is about $80.. kinda a waste because all you need is the access code, never read it.

You pretty much choose your grade for this course, because it is based on a point system. If you pass 1,000 points you have an A. As long as you attend every class and do some reports, you should not have a problem receiving an A. I missed on of the exams, but still got an A because I wrote about 8 reports. The reports are optional but really help.

Easy A. The lectures are a little boring, but grades are based on a cumulative point system, and there are extra points built in. All tests are online and open book. To make up for missed points on a test, you can write a two page essay that will make up a ton of points. Take this class for an A.

Class was very dull and boring. Course material didn't interest me at all. I thought it would be an easy class, but the tests are difficult and are complete BS. Write reports early for extra credit. Overall, I didn't like this class AT ALL.

Ben Aldridge is an extremely nice guy, who loves what he does. Class is extremely boring, but so easy. grades are cumulative so you could get 100 if you just did extra credit essays (which are insanely easy.) I didn't get an A because i got lazy, but is a good class to take if you're looking for an easy A.

You must attend almost all classes to get an A. He grades based on a point system and ever lecture and conecert counts as 20 pts, so misses one hurts you grade. A 1000 pts gets you an A. Tests are kind of hard but i do not know anything about music. I had to do alot of extra credit but still got a A by doing reports on the conecerts I attended
