Holy Guacamole he moves at an exponentially increasing pace unless someone has questions. Knows his stuff. He seems rushed and flustered when you ask questions but hes not going to hold it against you if you ask the same question a million times. he is very helpful you just cant be intimidated/put off by how he responds sometimes. Ask questions.

Tseng: Lectures: INTENSE. Learn ideas on your own, he only teaches methods. Taking notes may impede learning, pay attention. Tests: Hard Problems based off homework. Get fast at solving problems-- plenty of partial credit and he curves. Helpfulness: really wants to help, and SEEMS impatient. Don't be afraid to ask dumb questions.

Knows his stuff but very difficult to understand, do not miss ONE class or you'll never catch up. very tough homework and very tough tests. You have no choice in who you take so GOOD LUCK..you'll need it.

Tseng’s classes are very intense and require extensive amounts of research and homework. He also isn’t afraid to push his student’s abilities and understanding of class material. IMO this makes him a fantastic professor. As long as you are devoted and willing to learn, no one will teach you more about hardware electronics than Dr. Tseng will.

There is no logic for taking his class if your course isn't prerequsite. It will be a torture to you if you take class from him. Simply avoid.. He is not easy, he is not teaching (he is racing with something.. damn fast!!!) I took 2 classes from him on same semester. I don't wanna live a time period like that ever! I was doing his homeworks 7/24

Most of his classes(especially 146<electronic II>,228<communication> and 297<DSP>) were time consuming for me. And it's a hell if you take them in the same semester(I've seen someone doing it and I'm glad I didn't)...But in my opinion he is a good professor and he knows his stuff

His class was intense, if you space out for 5 minutes in his lecture it will take you an hour to recover. Info is thrown at you at a machine gun pace, but you will learn alot. If nobody asks questions in class the pace will get out of control. Definatly should form study groups for this class. There was never a question he didn't have an answer for, just a bit hard to understand the accent. phasealockaloopa!

Extremely fast, hard to understand (poor english). Tests are tough, homework takes about 10 hrs/week. However, he is helpful if you ask him questions (the hard part is knowing where to begin). Nice guy, and fair in grading. There are definately worse professors in the ECE dept.

Tests are long and will throw you off sometimes. You study npn bipolar juntion transistors in the active region most of the time, but he tests on pnp bjts or JFETS in the saturation region. Pretty helpful during office hours. To do well you must fully understand his expectations so ask!
