She's really hard, I not being picky but I need help in English and full attention. She can't give you that. Her teaching method is super old school. you cant understand her nor do you every know exactly what she wants, you have to figure it out with classmates. she super smart though. Just shouldn't be Engl1A teacher, maybe engl honors.

Dr. D is a amazing professor. Her years give you great insight on the material your learning. She gives new perspective to many ideas. She's by no means an easy A. She really helps you develop your writing significantly. Advise is do her essays at the beginning of the semester because she gives you better feedback, and you won't have to catch up

Dr. D is tough. She wants students to by her murder mystery books. She is very unorganized and unclear. She hates when students are late. She mumbles a lot! She expects you to think and write like her. Good luck if you take her because you will need it!

You want an easy A? Then do not take this course. She is a tough grader and expects to see improvement in your writing style. She can be hard to hear, but is willing to repeat herself as long as it is NOT the third or fourth time. Have your textbook, do your reading, and be prepared to talk. While not required, she loves class participation.

If you like ambiguity on assignments and reading mystery novels (if you don't you will have a tough time like me) than this class if for you. If not, I wouldn't take it. She's very unclear about assignments and gets irritated easily if you ask her to repeat (like we can hear her mumbling out homework...) and the essays are just as confusing.

I will agree with those other students. If you are looking for an easy A, chances are, she's not the right one for you. If you're looking for a professor that knows a great deal about writing and you are willing to learn, take her. Her class is fun but be prepared to have a work load of writing essays.

I you want to learn how to write and essay and research paper take her. My worst class was English. I worked by myself to death in her class and glad I did. She explained my problems and allowed me to redo till I wrote a better paper. When essay is mentioned I do not feel sick to my stomach. I know that I've had great teaching from great teacher.

She is not a horrible professor. People just need to know what they are getting into when they enter her class. She is a feminist. She is big on Italian history. She will make you read/write a lot. Take the class if you are passionate about English. Otherwise, don't. But don't rag on her because she has high expectations for you. I love her.
