Comment:

A very kind person, but sometimes lacked as a teacher. Looking back, there was a point to her madness. She has much knowledge about the Kodaly method of teaching and the binder we made in class was extremely helpful when formulating lesson plans and sequencing. Unfortunetely one has her as a freshman and doesn't see the point until much later.

Comment:

When I had her for class, I thought it was all useless. Then I got to student teaching. All of the materials and other things that she had given us saved me. Her lessons are incredibly effective with teaching elementary general music. These techniques almost trick the kids into having fun and learning all at once. Its a shame that she's retiring.

Comment:

Mrs. Moll is a horrible teacher and a horrible person. She has no business teaching in a college that charges that much $$$ for tuition. That the school hired her and keeps her on speaks volumes about their own lack of good judgement. I've been in academia for a long time. And I cannot think of a worse teacher in any subject.

Betsy Moll has info in only one subject--children. Just because you have some knowledge in this area does not give you the qualifications to teach a class about it. Everything I learned in this class I learned on my own time. She makes everything harder than it is, and thinks that her class is the most important one you are taking.

She's back?!?! She was the worst teacher I ever had. I learned NOTHING from her, she never came to class, and she was rude. I did horrible in Solfege III because of not learning anything the year before from her which hurt my GPA. What an awful teacher. :(

Hard grader!! Gives dirty looks when you walk in 2 seconds late! I like the class, but she makes it unbearable! She acts like she doesn't like any of us and that she's doing us a favor by just being there! The only thing that keeps me there is the othe teacher that teaches at the same time.

i could have learned what i learned in those 7 credits i've had with her in just ONE credit. if you are going to teach voice, you should be able to sing on pitch. she is also grades objectively depending on how much she likes you.

She knows her stuff in the realm of child development, but a person who is a lousy musician should not be teaching music at the college level--PERIOD. She's also incredibly biased, only hears what she wants to, and makes her classroom a political forum.
