Mrs. Towstiak is a super professor. She's smart, friendly and wickedly funny. History with her is great, I completely recommend her, although she is a tough marker.

After taking other history classes, I have newfound appreciation for Ms. Towstiak's highly structured lectures. Note taking was a pleasure in her class. Very easy to get a good mark if you attend class. Additionally, the textbooks for this class are excellent.

Bev is an awesome prof. She is very organized and straightforward and makes history very interesting and humorous. Her exams and essays are difficult but if you study hard and know the readings you should do fine. She is great!

I really enjoyed this class. Bev has a definite rhythm to her lectures. She is clear, concise and integrates interesting stories where she can. I will be spewing off random Greek and Roman facts to people around me for months. Tests are based largelly from lecture notes. I would really recommend this to first years. Great intro to history.

Very effective and extremely interesting. Midterms and Final are not horrible but don't think you can go unprepared. It's a considerable amount of work but you learn a lot and she makes it fun. Always drinks pop in lectures. :S Very nice. Highly Recommended to any first year students.

Loved her! She was so fascinating and added so much to lectures! Found her midterm and final not amazingly brutal; just know the right stuff...usually whatever you have the most detailed notes on is what goes into exams. She was funny and nice, and very helpful if needed. Reccommend her for any first yr. hist! Don't leave class early though lol.

Awesome prof!! its not a free ride though, you need to work for the marks but if she sees an honest effort she will reward it! She has great stories to go with what she's teaching. She knows what she's talking about. Never got bored in her class!

Without a doubt the best prof I have had by far. She knows her stuff, and is able to make it enjoyable and undersatndable. I do my best to take her classes every year, and I would recommend that others do the same. Not too difficult for exams or papers if you keep up.

She is the best prof I have had by far. She is informative as well as entertaining. Her exams are fairly difficult, but she is not too bad of a marker. She loves to see that you have been doing the class readings, so she marks well if she knows you have put in an effort.

Honestly one of the best professors I've had in my career so far at university. She is so interesting & very, very informative. I would just love to go out for coffee with this lady, she's stellar. The tests were so hard, and the essays were also difficult. But she's so smart and really fun to listen to. If you're a hardworker, take her class!
