His classes are very boring. He reads off the publisher slides and then reads through the solutions. I didn't find it helpful and ended up teaching myself. The required participation grade is just attendance. He doesn't post grades to OWL like the rest of the profs which is annoying. I'd rather not have him as a prof again.

Actually cares about students well- being. I was dead sick for a week (strep w a doctors note) and wasn't able to do a very good job on an assignment, I told him this and he gave me an extension without questioning my work ethic. This was nice because my other teachers either didn't reply or told me I would need to go through academic counselling.

Bill Dawson is easily one of the best professors uwo has to offer. He truly cares about his students. If you show that you care about the course, he will go above and beyond to help you succeed. Such a great guy. I will try to take every class with him possible.

He is an amazing professor. He goes out of his way to make you feel welcomed in class and confident in your studies. His lectures are boring but what ones aren't in a MOS program. He's methodical and do what he tells you and you should receive a better grade than you expected.

Bill Dawson is an amazing professor!!! He truly cares about his students, I agree with a lot where the lectures could be more explanatory however knowing what's on the test and the course not being to difficult, it's not hard to study regularly and help advance your knowledge more on the material.

I've had three classes with Dawson, 3370,3371,4465. Participation is basically attendance. Lectures are very boring and not very detailed so you end up learning it all by yourself, but he tells you exactly what will be on the exam so it's not too hard to study for. Overall a nice guy and pretty fair marker, just takes him a month to mark.

I hate accounting and am honestly not very good at it, but got over 80 in this class. Bill is the nicest prof at Western, and really does care and want his students to do well. As far as teaching, he pretty much just goes over the slides and answers from assigned textbook questions. You need to practice, practice, practice. Material is boring AF...

Comment:

Nice guy, good prof, clearly explains concepts and answers questions. It's literally impossible to hate him. He won't always be easy though, CA or CMA credit courses taught under his watch will have the same 70-74 average as any other MOS course.
