AVOID AT ALL COSTS. This guy knows his stuff, he just has no idea how to teach it. Classes are an endless stream of side-stepping rambles which in no way reflect the content of the midterms. Notice how his class averages hover around the C- to C range.

OMG. what was that.... it almost feelslike i dont like finance becaUse of his teaching. He knows a lot in this field and it seems like he is a good proffesional... but it was really hard to keep track in his class. He would shift things and say something so different, it was really hard to follow. I would want him in my future classes...

Hey tests at a much higher level then he teaches. seems to get joy in catching students on small details and subtracting marks. The final was insanly harder than anything we had done in class. but he gives a free 20 % on quizes take advantage.

Seems like a nice guy, but could not connect with his teaching style AT ALL. Doesn't use powerpoints and when he uses the board, he uses both boards at the same time, often cramming tiny writing into places - making it impossible to copy down the examples. Doesn't give you any extra material to study, so don't expect to be prepared for the exams.

Bill cuts the crap but also cuts the important stuff. He does spend most of the time talking about himself, and he doesn't prepare you well for the midterm. But he is a really good supplemental resource for the text book, except for the stuff"he can do better his way."But you'll find characters like this in the real world too, so learn to cope here

Bill is the worst teacher I have ever had in camosun. He can't make his point accross . He goes around the hard stuff because to lazy to explain in details. He spent a lot of time talking general stuff. and goes really fast through complex calculation. Course outline isn't clear. Ask question about stuff you never seen in class.

This was probably the worst class I have taken yet. I thought I kind of new what was going on, until the mid-term. Turns out he doesn't actually teach you what he tests you on! The final was the same. Over half the questions I couldn't even attempt b/c I had never seen anything like the before. I will never take a class with Bill again.

Extremely egotistical, just like everyone says. Tests had realistic, lifelike questions; however, he didn't prepare the majority of the class for that. If you can bring some other classes homework for when he's talking about himself, he's actually a pretty decent teacher when he tries.

I found Bill to be confusing at first and his midterm was far harder than any material we had done in class, or any questions in the back of the book. Study what he does in class and you can always go to him for help. The last half of the class was clearer because I understood his testing style - ready for the final! Overall a good teacher.

I'm sorry, I thought this was supposed to be a finance class, not "Let's spend 3.9 hours a week talking about how great Bill Giglio is and .1 hours talking about finance in extremely vague terms".
