He provides notes online which you can print off,and then sits up front and reads from them. He tries to get class discussion going which really affected my naps.His test were based off the notes,but he seemed to twist the questions so they no longer made sense.The books you read are tough to get through. Very boring class. Weird teacher.

Anth 1010 is a boring class no matter who teaches it. I took 3 classes (1010 & 375R twice) from this professor and really enjoyed them. His 375R class has a few papers and a presentation, but NO TESTS! Plus he makes the subject is very interesting.

I don't know what planet these other students came from! Dr. Olson knows his stuff and is very helpful. He opened my eyes to a complex and fascinating Africa. I would gladly take another course from this master of Anthropology!

This guy turned me off from Anthropology. This class was so dull that I will never take another ANTH class again in MY LIFE! He brags about not requiring a text but then has you buy 3 BORING dull books on obscure topics and write 10 page papers on them!
