Worst professor Ive had. Tries to explain everything in a general manner but ends up scattering the material all over the place. Tries to do most of the problems in his head and leaves out a lot of the explanation.

Dr. Price is good at explaining things in a general way so that the students understand it. However, his lectures are often scattered all over the place. Your grade comes from 4-5 exams w/ a final, 10 pop quizzes (GO TO CLASS), and some EC homework. It is a very challenging class, but if you work hard, you could end with a good grade

He doesn't explain things well. He lectures EVERY DAY but they are all over the place. They don't make sense. He gives to many pop quizzes, not to mention our class average on one quiz was 1.45/10. He's rude and will act like you are stupid when asking questions. Tests are hard and make up most of the class grade.

Great Professor, never learned so much in a class than this one. It's only hard if you don't study and listen to his lectures. If you listen well he will include everything on the test. By far the most intelligent professor at Marshall. He is funny and keeps you interesting, not an easy A but if you listen then you'll be fine. 100% would take agai

Price was extremely arrogant. His lectures were all over the place and he did not explain anything well. I did very good in chem 211 but had to withdraw from this class because of his teaching. He also made his tests extremely difficult. He calls you stupid in class for asking relevant questions . IF POSSIBLE DO NOT TAKE

Way too smart to teach this class. Teaches about the most random things from time travel to the world being an illusion. Shows ted talk videos every class. I guess it's easy but so boring you'll wanna die. I was miserable every day in this class he shouldn't teach this.

He cancelled lab ALL THE TIME. Only did 2 lab reports the entire class. The rest were 1 sentenced briefs graded only for participation. Study pre-lab questions for in class quizzes. Also 5% of the final grade is his evaluation so get on his good side.

He went off on rants that often took up most of the class. He did not upload any grades, and purposefully made test question extremely hard to find the "one in a million student." He called a girl stupid in front of our entire class for asking a question. His lectures were all over the place. DO NOT TAKE

Dr. Price is an interesting guy to say the least if you have him, you'll see what I mean. Fortunately, he's very laid-back with lab; we never did actual lab reports, we stopped taking quizzes (which were definitely the hardest part of the class) at some point, and the final was literally the midterm with a few more questions.

Dr. Price is tough and sometimes arrogant, but I have never learned more in a class than I did in this one. He really challenges you to look at the material and to understand what is happening rather than just memorization. Do not take this class if you're looking for an easy A. Before every exam he reviews the topics that will be tested on.

Comment:
Took Dr. Price for 212 and he is very condescending towards students. He gave pop quizzes frequently after barely going over the material. Talked down to everyone and made the class more about calculus than chemistry. If there is any other option take a different professor. He is smart but not a good professor. Students ended up self teaching.

Don't take this miserable man. He is the least encouraging 'professor' I've ever seen. He's no joke the biggest jerk I've ever seen in my life and his haircut looks stupid. He ruined chemistry for me with his arrogance. He has to be the worst person professor in chem since Hubbard retired and probably the worst at Marshall. Don't take. Ever.

Dr. Price is very knowledgeable and loves what he does. You will have a quiz before each lab, and they are not multiple choice. Read the lab manual prior to coming to class!

Smart but lazy. ZERO homework grades only awards 2.5 bonus points for completing all online homework. Says he curves all tests but won't know how much until semester ends. Average grade for all tests is 60. He might lower the grading scale. Tries to work problems mentally and comes up with wrong answer. Was A and B student in CHEM before this class

DON'T TAKE PRICE FOR FYS! He is the strangest man. He argues with you and always has to be right, very negative person. Talks about very random things that have nothing to do with the class.

If this tells you anything I got an A in calc, A in bsc 120 and an A in chm 211. I went to class, read every page of the book and material, and did the problems at the end of the chapters. I barely, just barely, squeaked by with a B. Short of being a prodigy you won't get an A and If you just show up you won't pass. Take someone else.

Ugh. I hated this class. It was easy but his little quizzes that he does at the beginning of each class are no joke. He scales everything so it makes that class very easy. However, good luck understanding and performing the experiment because he doesn't explain very well.
