Mr. Rhoades was awesome! It is not an easy class so definitely study. He is willing to help during office hours if needed. If you work hard you should do fine. Tip: Use the notes he puts online they really help for the test.

Comment:

Took him for BIO111/112 and I dont regret a thing. Mr. Rhoades is an unforgettable professor! Very smart and very funny. Extremely difficult material, but he will do his best to help you understand. All I can say is I love this man!! I don't think any other BIO prof at wake tech can make the class this fun to be in. Requires a LOT of work though.

Favorite prof. hands down! This man is just the funniest guy at WT and he is very smart also. Lab/lecture quizzes and tests are all very difficult, but he does drop some grades and offer extra credit. Book is EXTREMELY important. Don't slack off or be late and he won't embarrass you in front of the class. Great guy. Great teacher. Very tough class.

Mr. Rhoades is an okay professor if you don't mind getting yelled at in front of the whole class occasionally for not doing much. Beware, he might tell you that you're acting dumb, like a middle schooler, or like a child if you do as much as put your head down during class. He's 68 years old. He's grumpy. He's just not a good professor.

One of the best professors at Wake Tech. His attitude comes off as confusing at first, but he is hilarious once you get to know him. He is an extremely tough grader and the tests are hard. However, lab practicals are simple. Just know proper vocabulary and use the power point slides to your advantage. Tons of extra credit too!

Mr. Rhoades is by far my favorite professor at Wake Tech, and one of my favorite teachers of all time. He will push you and you have to work for your grade, but he is also very kind and generous with extra credit and open office hours. His lectures are hilarious! He will make you laugh every day. If you take him you will learn and grow so much!

My fav proff at WT! So funny + is always willing to help if you ask. He can be a tough guy on the outside, but a real softie on the inside. Tests are multiple choice + short answer. The tests + short answer lab quizzes are hard though Read his chapter notes bc they are helpful. Going to his office hours will help u in his class. Lots of ex credit.

He is very mean to my table. I try really hard in this class and he doesn't treat me with good respect. About as mean as Angela from the office, but not a lovable character. Do not recommend this class unless it is the only class you are taking.

Mr. Rhoades is truly an asset to Wake Tech. He will have you cracking up every day in class and you can tell he really loves what he does. I took him for both bio 111 and 112 and went to his office often. He will always try to make the effort to help you if you go to see him. This class is definitely not easy but he will help you as much as he can.

Professor Rhoades is by far the best teacher that I have ever had! He is really funny and intelligent. He does not require you to get a textbook, he will post every note that you need to study for the tests. He gives extra credit and drops low grades. The class is not easy by any means but it is very enjoyable. All you need to do is STUDY!

This is not an easy teacher or class but he is the most helpful teacher I have ever had. Come to him with questions and ask for help and you will be on his good side and be more willing to help you in the future. Just pay attention everything he talks about in class is what's on the test so pay attention and take notes if you don't understand ask.

Second time taking him. Over the summer. This man is hilarious and is sooo helpful! The o lyrics way you will fail this class is if you was too lazy not to go to his office hours. Yes the course is difficult and there is a lot of work but he gives a lot of extra credit and if you ask him anything he will help you as much as he can. No hybrids!!!

hybrid class. had rhoades for lab and if you do not study you will fail. that was my problem. :/ i am taking the class again with him over the summer because he was very helpful when i went to him and everything he teaches is on his lab quizzez! nothing extra. he is a funny guy :)

Comment:

Very challenging due to amount of info covered but I recommend Rhoades. Gave 80 or so extra credit pts which helped bring grades up by 10-15%. Due to amount of info covered you HAVE to stay up to date with studying. I studied by making note cards from his notes and found that very helpful. Made an A but it took a lot of work! You will learn a lot!
