I had Wempe for graduate managerial accounting. The homework was manageable, but his final was brutal. At 2.5 hours, probably 90% of the class was still taking it. At 3 hours, probably 70% were still taking it. He's very nice, and lectures were interesting, esp with real world application, but I hated the final.

Class was extremely difficult. The averages for the class on the first two tests were 70% and 60.5%. I studied extremely hard for the final and managed to get a 82% on it. My grade should have been a 77% but Professor Wempe rounds everyone grades up at the end and he gave me a B from a C+.

I loved Dr. Wempe! He is very dry though, I would not recommend him for an 8 AM class. He knows his stuff and is very enthusiastic, but he is also very detailed when it comes to testing. I didn't kill myself in this class, but you need to show up, do the homework, and study quite a bit for the A.

He actually teaches you managerial well but you have to go to every class to keep up with his note packet because there is a lot of fill in the blank. Good teacher but the tests were really hard. He does curve your grade about 5 points at the end though to even out his bell curve

Mr. Wempe teaches like every student is an accounting major. Do not take his tests lightly because you will regret it in the end. I struggled and had to pull some magic to manage my grade. I would recommend finding an easier teacher, unless you like the challenge.

Very hard teacher. You study the notes he gives you and then on the test he throws a curveball at you. He will go out of his way to trick you on the test. I would avoid this teacher!!!!

Dr. Wempe is certainly among the best professors at TCU. He is a ruthless tester, but gives his students every opportunity to practice and learn. He shows a passion for managerial accounting and I think he's a kind and caring person. You will earn your grade in this class. No free rides!

Great Professor! Tests are hard, but if you show up to class and review his notes you will be fine. Don't need to review the textbook much for tests, but the notes he gives you are crucial! Will go the extra mile to help students and what you learn in his class will really help you in the future.

He is extremely nice, but his test are nearly impossible the class average is a 60 and he only curves a point or 2. I would not take him ever again. He expects way too much from students and purposely tries to trick students on test.

This class is not easy even though he is the easier managerial accounting professor. The tests are really confusing so make sure you know the material very well. Don't take his class in the morning if you have a hard time paying attention because it's really easy to get lost. Cool guy though.

I think he makes what most people say is an easy class pretty dificult. I hope you like accounting because you need to to stay awake in this class. Teaching yourself is critical here and don't sit in the back..all you can here is ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ...

I think the prof must have read these comments, because thus far the professor appears to be very clear about what is expected of you and lets you know EXACTLY whats going to be on the test. It's definatly not an easy class, but this prof has made this difficult class much easier.

HARD professor. his exams are so hard that makes you feel like you dont know anything. dont take him unlike that you like to teach yourself and cry in hard exams. almost everyone was failing in my section.

Not the best teacher. Exams are difficult. Basically copy everything he writes and teach yourself. I'll give him this, he curved our class significanlty because so many were doing poorly.
