Sucked his "primal stuff". Got an A. Easy as that. Learned more about Plato and Confucius than I ever wanted to, but I feel smarter because of his class. He looks like the old grandfather from the movie "Holes". Loved his querky sayings. Thinks he is a comedian...he's not. Wouldn't take his class again, but glad I did.

Dr. Wright is a sweet guy, but man his class is hard. I filled my notebook completely with notes, and I still made only a C. His tests and quizzes are very difficult and you take LOTS of notes, but I have heard of people getting As in the end. I would say not to take him if you are just filling a world civ. requirement.

Difficult teacher. He will challenge you to the extreme. He has no outlines for his notes. You have to basically write down everything he says and hope you study the right thing. His quizzes and tests are rediculous! Very hard professor but not the worst in the world.

Very enthusiastic about his subject, though no one else is. Pretty boring class, but he's a nice guy. Tests are insane, so study hard. Everything is short answer/essay, and you should provide as much as detail as possible to get full credit. There were two tests (midterm and final) and 4 or 5 quizzes. Test are pretty much quizzes, but with 2 essays

He is very easy as long as you come to class and take good notes. He can be a little boring and scattered on certain days but if you go to his office and ask questions he'll love it!

He's wonderful. He actually requires you to work, but he's a fantastic professor with true passion for the subjects he teaches. His classes are NOT a breeze to make it through with an A. Don't expect to skate through it, be dedicated and diligent with study and notes, and you'll learn more than you ever expected.

I got a B in the class, but I worked hard and struggled to get it. He gave us five quizzes that where he chose 9 or words out of a big list of vocab and then you choose 6 to write on. He made us read two very hard books and gave an extra credit assignment. He will help you if you see him after class and he's nice, but a difficult teacher.

Most comments here address material by saying it is too hard. The material was pretty dry, but he is one of the most informative profs I've had. Didn't use the assigned books much at all, but used several sources from the library. I was bold and wrote a paper that contradicted Luther, and got a B on the paper and in the course.

Good luck with this class.. Must take a ton of notes. He gives you multiple pages of terms and says he will give you five on the quiz. I always studied the wrong ones. I am not normally a C student and somehow that is what I got in this class. I would definitely not take his class again.

You HAVE to go to class every time or you will miss soo much! He knows his stuff but the class is lecture based and is really boring!!! On the tests he gives 9 terms and you have to answer 5, and because the tests are spaced out, each test covers a ton of terms! Just make sure you study weekly and not just before a test.

Be prepared to work. I love history and took him for a 300 level course and somehow passed with an A. However, if you do not love history DO NOT TAKE HIM! He makes you write two essays and five terms in 50 minutes! The secret to making an A is to study hard and on the Essay know what you are going to write for each essay before you go to class.

Don't buy book. Never opened it. He gives lots of notes and I would go to class a lot or you will miss a lot. Write a lot on the essay part of the test and act like you know what you are talking about. get with people in the class and divide the essays and it will help. I had a C in the class the class the whole time but he ended up giving me a B!!

He's complex. The class can be hard and boring. He knows what he's talking about and will answer questions but its entirely lecture based. He takes getting used to. His tests are alot of info but he gives you essay questions that could be on the test and 2 of them will be. good luck with the terms there are a ton. He isnt pass proof you can do it.

Do NOT take him for World Civ. He goes through a sheet of terms during each class. Then for the exam he gives you 9 random ones and tells you to choose 5 to answer. He expects you to know who what when where and why. The tests have 2 essays also. I have studied for all his exams and the highest I can make is a C. seems like he makes stuff up.

If you like a challenge loved history before 1000 bc. then you can take him.On the test its like you study for hours and still won't understand the material. He is always excited about his material but the class isn't at all. Most of the time he is talking he will lose you and you will be lost during the whole class or until he moves to a new subje

He is so hard! Do not take him! On all the tests you have to write a 4 page essay that you have to memorize or you will fail and you have to use specific words or he will count off! Also you dont know what essay he will choose to put on the test.
