Mr. Blevins was an awesome teacher. Willing to answer any and all questions over homework and tests. He drops the lowest test and homework due the day before finals week! He is awesome and works with you. Great Math Teacher!!!!!

Comment:

He misses key steps that are real useful in solving equations. He demands that you know the formulas instead of having them written down or allowing you to use them on an exam. Ok for summer, don't recommend for full semester.

Good teacher. I'm no fan of math and I managed pretty well in his class. One of the most patient men I have ever seen. I'm no mathematician and some of the questions he got were just out of this world stupid and he dealt with them all about as well as you could hope for. Nice guy. About as good as a math class can get, for me atleast.

Took for Cal I over the summer. Material wasn't too terribly difficult but make sure your algebra is up to par b/c tests are not m/c and require tedious algebra. Drops lowest test grade and always let's out early. IF you are alright at math, take him. If math isn't your strong suit, I'd take someone else

Mr. Blevins doesn't waste time going over basic algebra in his class, so if you're a bit rusty, then this is not the class for you. He's very straight forward, a good teacher, and extremely helpful. Overall- Good class, and nice man.

I had to drop this class to avoid losing my 4.0. He's a really nice guy, but he doesn't explain things in a way that I can understand. Plus, he skips a lot of stuff about basic Algebra. However, if you have a good understanding of basic Algebra (which I do not) you should do fine in this course.

Nice teacher, if you are rusty on basic algebra take someone else. His teaching pretty fast pace and skips steps while solving problems. Watch closely tends to make minor mistakes while teaching. Overall ok

Extremely nice man, but I didn't do so hot in his class. Homework is online and he gives a ton. He really does skip some critical steps that he thinks we should understand (most don't). Tests aren't terribly difficult, you MUST STUDY TO PASS. Very fair but if you aren't good in math, TAKE MR. CHAPPA! HE IS the BEST teacher here! Otherwise, go 4 it

I was worried at first because had heard bad things--all not true. He is super smart in his subject and is willing to help if you are serious. Strict classroom--loved his teaching style, would take him again--feel like I actually learned in this class.

You know how some teachers say that there are no stupid questions? He's not one of those teachers. In fact, he will actually laugh at your "stupid" questions. Also goes way too fast, and skips a ton of steps, which is why people have "stupid" questions in the first place. Unless you're a math whiz or enjoy being made to feel dumb, don't take him!

I have always struggled with math, but he really cares about helping you if you show him it is important to you! He shows you different ways to approach problems, and though he goes sort of fast he will go back and answer ANY of your questions. He is the only reason i passed! I strongly suggest taking him!!

He was one of the hardest teachers i have ever taken in college. I did not enjoy his class at all, he went to fast and skipped alot of important steps. His tests were hard, and he never graded our homework he assigned. Worst math teacher of the year.

I really like Belvins. I thought he was a very nice and sweet person. The people who say he put them to sleep were most likely out drink all night before and were too tired to stay awake. Lets face it math sucks, but that doesnt mean he does. I think he is a great teacher to take the test are like the reviews and he gives you every chance

Sort of cluttered. Sometimes can't finish problems and has to try again later. Very nice, easy to approach, helpful, can be corrected. Grades on a curve; if you make an 87 in the class, he'll give you an A. Study his reviews and worksheets and you'll pass
