He can ramble, but he is a good professor. The class can get really boring, especially because it's an evening class, and you'll only think about leaving. There is a lot to learn from him though. He does have extensive knowledge. If you are a good writer, take the class. It's easy!

Great Teacher. Read over different features in class, and analayze them with a fine tooth comb to give you ideas on how to structure your own features. Very easy going teacher... will extend a due date if you ask him to.

Bob Allen is a nice guy, and he is a professional journalist, which allows him to bring real experience to the class. There isn't a whole lot of rhyme or reason to his grading...it can be kind of hard to understand why you got a certain grade. He does allow rewrites, though. Not too organized, but he does always seem willing to help.

Really easy class, but boring. Bob is a nice guy who is always willing to help. He allows for paper rewrites and the assignments aren't that difficult, but there are about one a week. Take him if you don't mind being bored and want an easy A.

This class will bore you at times, and he can be a little disorganized, but be kind and just sit through the entire lecture. You get to rewrite papers, and is pretty flexible with deadlines at times. If you just need an upper level or schedule filler, this isnt a bad class to take, the worse part really is filling 3 hours of lecture on writing.

Really not a bad class and fairly easy if you do the work! You have about 6-8 papers to write during the semester, which really isn't much with a once a week course! He also gives homework exercises each week too. Can be a little disorganized and boring at times, but he is a very nice guy and always lets you rewrite papers for better grades!

Oh My god! End my misery! This class is not easy to get through- BORING. I did brush up on my Freecell skills. I didn't learn anything! And your feature articles come back either as a B+ or B-. You'll make friends w/ people in class because of the "kill me now" looks being passed across the room.
