Comment:

Very interesting person. Had him this past summer and thought it would be an easy class being a transient student. Found out differently. He actually made us do a considerable amount of work. I'm glad, because I really gained a lot of confidence in public speaking that I didn't have before. Thanks Mr.Callighan for all of your help.

Getting ready to finish this semester, and what a semester it was. Mr. Callighan is the most hepful and caring instructor I have had in college. I never wanted to get up in front of people to speak, but because of him, I will speak anywhere. He taught me what public speaking is about and the proper way to do it. He is an outstanding instuctor.

People were sure right about this teacher. He doesn't play games like others. He actually teaches. I learned so much about public speaking. Also, I would recommend him to everyone, and to those individuals who are senstive about certain things that are said, get over it. He is a very kind man willing to help all students.

What a semester, heard comments about this guy and they were right. He doesn't play around with cell phones or pants on the ground. Class was really interesting despite college techno problems. Learned alot about making myself presentable to people. I wish some of my friends had taken him. Good job TEACH!!!

Probably the best teacher at Lawson. He's funny as hell too. He's not hard he just holds everyone accountable. I think he is on of the most fair people I've ever met in my life. This is coming from a guy who was told I wasn't going to pass the class at the beginning of the semester.

Past students were right on. The man knows his stuff, but you better adhere to his policies of being on time and no electronic devices. Found him to be very helpful as other students did so. This was the second time to take this class, wish I had taken Mr.Callighan to start with. Learned so much. Class was really enjoyable. If you want help in a class, then you should take this instructor, he never turned me down when I came for help. The other instructor didn't care whether we could speak or not. Callighan is a really good instructor.

Whew what a class. Glad to see a teacher who has principles and follows them. He was not intimidated by students with cell phones or wanting to do things their way. Learned a great deal about public speaking, and am now very confident when it is my turn. Hats off to a very good instructor.

Had Mr. Callighan for the one week interim class. As a dual enrollment student I worried about handling this class, but Mr. Callighan made the class very enjoyable for everyone. I learned a great deal and the class erased my fears of speaking in front of a group. My school will be surprised when they hear me in my senior year. I recommend his class

Had Mr. Callighan last semester and he brought a lot of enthusiasm to the classroom. None of my other four classes brought this to their class. Maybe they should take him, they might learn something. Got a "B" and learned a lot, might just take it again. I know it is going to help become a better teacher--that's what I want to be!

I've alreay rated Mr. Callighan, but I noticed that someone give a 1 for helpfulness and a 1 for clarity. Well, that person must have never been in his class, because he tells us everyday if you need help come by. He also always repeats things in case someone didn't understand. Nine out of ten would always say Mr. Callighan is always there.
