Comment:

He tends to ramble. So I ended up just taking as many notes as possible. Doesn't really teach from the book. He teaches from "discussion questions." If you study the answers to those (which he 'answers' in class) you will be good. He also curves the test scores. Read the syllabus! He hates it when you ask questions that are on the syllabus.

Doesn't give out essays for tests, everything is scantron. He either talks all class or plays a video , either way you have a sheet to turn in at the end or you can opt to do questions out of the online book. Pretty fair teacher. Tells it how it is, takes time to explain in depth why the answer is a certain answer. Not a hard class if you try.

I don't know where to start because he is by far the best teacher ivy tech has ever had!! He is full of great information and stories. He is always available outside of class. He is a great teacher that wants his students to succeed. Show up to class and lots of class participation and you'll pass with an A easily. I took psych & soc together

Comment:

I had Dr. Bob for both Sociology and Psychology. He is a wonderful professor and very knowledgeable in both subjects. He gives outlines for his lectures and his lectures are very interesting. He also posts practice exams on Blackboard and he grades on the curve. I recommend him to everyone who is taking one of these classes. (Lawrence Campus)

Dr. Bob is okay, not fantastic, not horrible. But it's a pretty easy class, especially if you know something about Psychology already. There's required online homework that can be a bit time-consuming, but he doesn't have pop quizzes on reading. Lectures are interesting, and tests are all multiple choice.

Dr. Bob is a wonderful professor. I enjoyed this class and our discussions. You discover things about yourself in sociology, dealing with your own socialization. When you see Robert Dunkle as a choice for psychology or sociology, by all means, sign up for his class! He enjoys teaching and he is there for his students. I was not a fan of the book.

Dr. Bob is fantastic. He can seem to ramble occasionally but he provides every bit of information you need. His videos are always relevant to the material, and he gives you opportunities to get extra credit. As for the tests, they are really easy if you know what to study(know the lecture guides and practice tests like the back of your hand).

I had Prof. Dunkle for two classes and he was absolutely great. His lectures weren't boring, he pretty much taught right off the top. He gave us lecture guides and was completely understandable. Test were good sometimes tricky

Dr. Dunker was awesome! It took the first section and the first test for me to understand his teaching strategies. I got a B on the first test and A's the rest of the semester on everything. He is all about lecture so be in every class and be prepared to write. Print every lecture guide and pretest and study thoroughly, you will get an A.

Dr. Bob is a great guy, not so much a great teacher. He doesn't go over the information in the textbook at all., He shows videos everyday like he doesn't have a lesson plan. He barely even teaches unless there is a test the next week.

He is a nice prof but the material we watched in class was ridiculous and didn't have much to do with the actual mateial we needed to know for tests. As long as you study his online study guides there is no way you can fail his class. he does not use BB for grading so I suggest you keep tally of your own grade throughout the semester.

Nice guy, interesting, really knows his stuff and can lecture off the top of his head. I felt like the information presented was very biased, only presenting one view, mostly more liberal. He would at times mention opposing views but no real explanation.

Made everything too political. I didn't feel like we went over the actual subject. Felt like I was being personally attacked each class. Almost the worst class I've taken. If he hadn't made it so political (his views only) then it would have been a great class.
