Comment:
His lectures are long and merge into group discussions and participation. He gives out homework assignments and you have the option to work on them in class - do this and you get extra help from him, or you can go home.

He makes a dry topic interesting and fun. He's very knowledgeable but he's not self-absorbed like most professors. You can tell he's a happy guy and loves what he's doing. I wish there were more like him! He seems to have a lot of respect for his students.

He does talk a lot, but the info is/can be extremely helpful in building database. I think he is a more of database guy than a GIS guy. :P

Talk, talk, talk. Earle loves to hear himself lecture. The powerpoint presentations given are vague, and then he'll test off of them. Most of the time he'll talk about his work experience and how it relates to the class topic. This good but all the students sees is Earle talking without demonstrating or even writting on the white board.

Comment:
Makes difficult and dry ideas easier to understand. Class exercises are real-world oriented and useful - I refer back to them now that I am working in the field.
