Very nice Professor. I would have to say he's the best teacher I've ever had. People say that he's easy. That's because you learn a lot from him. When you learn, things seem to be easy. Very helpful guy. He really care for students.

In our class, he used Moore's method (gives handouts with props on them and has the class do proofs at the board). Exams were easy but non-trivial. If you show him that you know what you are doing you will get an A. If you expect to sit in class, and keep quiet he is not the prof for you. Very intelligent man. Don't under-estimate him!

Dr. Heath is a horrible prof. he lost one of my grades for my exam and I ended up with a D+ instead of the A i should have had. After emailing him 5 times he never changed my grade nor regraded my final as he said he would. Take another prof. that isint losing their mind.

Actually a pretty nice guy. You really have to do the work outside of class, however. Go to every class even though people get up and leave. Study for every test. The second may take you by surprise. Overall, he doesn't try to screw anyone and is decent.

At first, I was like 'can he even teach?' Lo and behold, I think he was one of the best professors I've had at Pitt. If you ask him questions after class, this guy is a BOATLOAD better on the solo circuit than in a large class. He really teaches you things, and he's awesome. I just wish people who attend his class en masse could see how great he is when he can hear you and explain one-on-one. Definitely worth having this guy. He's really interested and even THANKS YOU for being inquisitive. He cares.

True, his tests aren't hard. But if you want to actually learn Calc. avoid. Be prepared to go to the MAC at least twice a week, because the book is also horrible. I expect to get an A altough I'm worried about Calc 2, because I don't know if I'm flash-memorizing or actually learning.

study his example test and you will get an A+. lectures are unclear but as long as you study and do the homework assignments you will do fine. The tests during recitation cover the basics and help you learn. I would say take this class.

A very nice guy...lectures are so-so, but he gives good handouts and practice tests which are very helpful---Very laid-back, too, which is good for a math professor. I would definitely recommend him

His class is easy, however, he is hard to understand, he talks to himself and laughs alot. His tests are about 60%-70% of the sample exam problems. A good TA will help. I think anyone can pass this course. Stick with the course, even though class is boring. An easy A.

Heath is a nice older man who speaks in fragmented mumbled sentences. He is obviously bored with easier classes like Calc I, but if you READ the material, his ramblings make more sense. His tests = his sample exams. Helpful and understanding about missed classes, tests etc. Nice guy.
