A really sweet professor, but really boring lectures. If you've ever taken CEGEP Intro to Methodology (qualitative methods) then it's pretty much the same thing. Just read the textbook and you're all set.

As a professor, (having had him several semesters back)I found him highly knowledgeable and very caring about his students. As an advisor, he was truly a lifesaver. Bob was a HUGE help in guiding me in the right direction over the last several years at concordia. Overall... SUPERB!

He is friendly, patient and very well organized. His exam questions are fair, but the exams are way too LONG! It's frustrating to know the material yet still fail because you didn't have enough TIME to finish the exam.

Previous reviewer is lying! Dr Turnbull IS helpful. He just takes a lot of time to respond to e-mails or to post exam marks. Also, his exams ARE hard. Very. But he is helpful and truly knows the material!

All I have to say is that he is a horrible person. Not even considering his awfull teaching "skills" he is someone to avoid at all times. Even with academic advising. He is just a bad person - thats it, thats all.

bad teacher, can't hear him properly even if sit at front of class. waste of time going to classes. Book is written like for children. Avoid him if possible. Boring class over all, he says it but doesn't do anything to make it more interesting.

He is the worst! He is on some sort of high horse and therefore makes things a lot more complicated than they actually are...He talks very quietly and it is extremely hard to pay attention to him because he is so boring!!! Do not take him for the life of yourself!! He looks like santa and is in desperate need of some rogain.

There is nothing bad I can say about Dr. Turnbull. I had him for 3 classes in total, and I enjoyed them all. He is professional, approachable, and easy to follow. I sometimes wondered if there is anything he does not know...amazingly knowledgeable. Thanks for true intellectual exercise!

If you read the material before class his lectures are actually interesting. however sitting through a 3 hour class can make you restless. His test are fair, he gives you sample questions and he's very helpful if you ask.

I don't think i sat through an entire one of his classes, it's seriously boring, and he doesn't make it interesting at ALL! I don't recommend taking him, or sitting in the back, cuz u'll barely hear the guy speak.
