Bob White's lectures are always in movie form and can be uninteresting if you are taking this class to fulfill a general education course. You are graded only by a few things. I had a very hard time in his class and he was hard to reach out to. He is hilarious and is Simmons's Dumbledore.

Bob White's lectures come in movie form, and they're just as interesting as a real movie. COMM120 is the easiest class I've ever taken in my life, and it's fun too! It's more fun to take this class with your friends so you can work on projects together. Also you'll have someone believe you when you say he claims to be the doctor or Dumbledore.

Worst professor I have ever taken at Simmons. GPA Booster, but not worth suffering through 50 minutes MWF. Offensive to many students & doesn't teach anything. This class wasn't even about communications in the media. Don't waste your time.

Professor White's Communications Media class is an easy A. We literally just watched movies and videos all class. There are no exams at all, not even a final! He does give like 5 quizzes throughout the semester, but the questions and answers to those are on quizlet. Also, he loves to celebrate birthdays and gives presents too!

As a science major, I'm used to taking really hard classes. I took this one to fulfill my art mode, and I'm glad I did. Take it if you want a class that you don't have to worry about, but will likely result in you receiving an A. Bob White is actually very nice in person. You get to watch video clips and stuff every class.

You'll either like or hate him. His class is super easy, so I'd recommend this class for anyone who wants to boost their GPA. His way of teaching class is kinda weird, so you might feel annoyed. Quizzes are really easy. His assignments are easy too, but they do get annoying to do.

Honestly, he was awful. His TA's did everything. He did not teach the course, the quizzes were easy but annoying. When I took them I'd ask myself "when did I learn this?" Def not my favorite professor at Simmons..

Very unconventional course. Professor White is great, very excited about his work and topic. Don't expect to learn something new every class because some are just spent being repetitive or silly, but can definitely be interesting or enlightening. Prepare to challenge yourself with creative assignments, he loves originality/creativity in projects.

Comm120 was my first class on MWF mornings and since the lecture format was mostly video and computer graphics, It was comparable to attending your first class in a movie theater. Interesting and invigorating start to the day, interesting and invigorating approach to communications. GPA boost.

The classes were entertaining but most of the time i struggled to stay awake. His assignments are really easy, he's an easy grader. this was definitely a GPA booster. do the assignments, don't take too seriously, and go to class. easy A. most definitely. oh and don't ask him questions, you won't get answers.

He is a different teacher which made me exited for the class. BUT we do absolutely nothing in his class. He spends about 20 minutes taking attendance and doing other things to waste time. He also has major OCD. That may sound like an easy A but he doesn't even look at your projects--the teaching assistants do. WASTE OF TIME.

Professor White is a wonderful teacher and you can really tell he loves what he does. Make sure to come to class and do the assignments on time and you should be fine. Great option for a mode 1 class and is a nice break from the normal lecture class. He is a bit eccentric, but definitely in a good way.

I thought this was a really fun class and very entertaining. Bob White is hilarious and it is pretty easy to do really well as long as you do all the work (and it's not much). He is eccentric but awesomely so. Comm. media is a great class to take to get out of the typical lectures and boring classes.

This class appeared to be interesting and unconventional at first which sparked my interest. Although this has held true I have also learned very little and have found several of the film choices he's shown very inappropriate and disturbing. He's certainly eccentric, and the class can be entertaining but I can't say I've gained very much.

I think Bob White is a very fun teacher! Comm media is super interesting having him as a professor! The assignments are few but they do help me think and be creative. For once it's nice to have a class at Simmons that isn't about exams and boring stuff like that lol...life isn't all about exams and structure! It's an easy A but not TOO easy! :)

Overall a really fun class. It's easy, you just need to show up to class and do what he tells you to do and study. A good class if you are looking for a fifth class or have a lot of hard classes for the semester and want to fill a mode.
