Very good professor. I really enjoyed his lectures. Uses a systematic approach to the chapters that makes it much easier to learn the material. His test questions are from the homework he assigns. If you do the homework his tests are easy. The final is based on your tests that semester. He is way better than the other 196 professor (Dimauro).

he's way better than he was for 195. the people that failed were the ones that didnt do the homework and the ones that did the homework and understood it thought the class was easy. helpful during office hours so go there if you need to.

The class wasn't that bad, class consisted of 100+ students so I dont know if that made a difference. Tests were multiple choice, Make sure you do homework cuz majority of questions are like the homework. Will discuss "concepts" with you during office hours. Just pay attention to what he discusses in class which will be on test.

Currently Taking. Changed his method of teaching. Way better than last semester (196) with the infinite slides which are now reduced to 1-2s slides. Strongly advise you to buy the solutions manual. Homework problems are directly from the book (problem numbers change of course) If you need the manual hit me up =) )

This guy is a moron, hey will explain the stuff that we learned in junior high over anver again, he'll keep repeating the same irelevent concept the who class. but leaves out the important stuff. doesnt proove the formulas, just gives you a list. I ony passed the class cuz of my previous knowledge of physics from highschool.

Worst teacher ever!! He knows his stuff, knows it so well he seems annoyed to have to answer your questions. Nice guy, as a person, but get a tutor and go to the special studies unless you are a wiz with Physics because he does not make things clear at all!!! Only good part of his class is the curve to begin with makes 41% a D.

Hard class. Goes over the " phenomenon " of whats happening. Lectures are a waste but sometimes the notes do help on the test. Sometimes he'll go over an example. Test mostly based on the homework and homework is mostly based on examples in the book [HW due Sun 4:00].

An awful, awful teacher. Lecture notes are put online, and all he does is read them during class. Attendance is a complete waste of time. He does not do examples of problems that will be on tests or homework. No explanations of online homework: clueless as students. Fill-in tests and final have little to do with lectures. AVOID if at all possible.

If you can avoid it, dont take this class. He rarely does real examples and when he is explaining stuff in class he spends all of his time talking about the freeforce diagram so he never actually finishes the problem. The homework is also much harder than you will ever have to do on the tests and it is not good preparation

Classtime is a waste. His powerpoint lectures that he shows in class are all on blackboard, and doesn't do any example problems needed for exams/hw. Just read the book, do hw problems, make a good notepage that you get to use on tests, and show up on test day. Open book final.

Horrible teacher. Gave the worst lectures ever on powerpoint. We bought a book, but all the homework was online. It was hard to figure out how to do the homework from his lecture notes, So I used the book. But all the formulas he gave you for the test were from his piece of crap lecture notes. "Sucks"

This Class Sucked. Spring semester 06' had the oppurtunity to use the book assigned for HW problems. Fall did HW online and there was no way to get examples. his syllabus said all Multiple Choice tests, but only 2 were and the other 3 were fill in the blank. Take the class with Dimauro. Bocker doesn't give study guides to help on the tests either.

This was his first time teaching 180B, and at first he expected a lot, but once he figured out no one was majoring in physics, he cut out sections and made it easier for us to learn the material. If you can get him for this class, TAKE IT!!! He's the best Physics Prof. I've ever had. Open book/note tests!

This guy has some issues for sure. After having him I know more about powerpoint presentations than I do about physics. Why would anyone teach physics without doing any problems? I am convinced he does not know how to do any of the problems, and that is why he will not do any in class.
