Comment:

Boting deserves a better rating on here: he made a point of doing LOTS of examples in the lecture and answering questions, as well as getting some class discussion going, which is not always easy with this kind of material. I had no problem understanding his English at all. Assignments help you understand the lecture. Excellent prof.

Worst prof in CS dept. Walks out of examination hall,leaving students un-attended and then some one complains, FGSR runs the case for 4 months,finally its the students who have to take all the blame with low grades. I strongly recommend not to take this course.

Comment:

My favourite CS prof so far. Really understands content on a deep level and really wants students to understand as well. Assignments challenging but not long. Emphasizes theory over programming, which you may or may not like. Final seemd brutal at the time, but ended up with a good mark. Study!!! Some English errors but I understood him fine.

Great prof. I would recommend him for any CS major that wants to actually learn. Approachable out of class and will sit with a student until they understand. He also seems to do the lessons completely from memory and never makes a mistake.

I found the class to be really dry and boring, especially as a night class. The midterm was really difficult and I thought some of the questions were unfair (30% of it was from a previous assignment in which he had the wrong answer). The final was difficult but fair. He tried to answer e-mails quickly. He's ok, there's better and there's worse.

CS310 with him was easy except for the exams, which had some surprising questions. CS 412 was much more difficult all the way through. He tries hard to teach his classes well. His english is still bad, but it is improving. Same goes for his teaching. You won't find a professor more willing to spend time on a subject to make sure you understand i

this guy needs to get more in touch with what students need to know...he spends more time trying to babble through a 'unique' proof which no one cares about as opposed to teaching us stuff that actually applies to the tests or assignments...useless!

Almost never went to class because it was boring and I found I didn't listen anyways. Did all the assignments and studied a little for midterm/final, got well over 85 in both classes. Does that make him a good prof?

Very easily to proove he is a terrible prof. Rambles on unintelligibly, then suddenly stops and looks around for several minutes. That means he asked a question. When he makes you answer, he will find flaws in your response.

he's a kind guy, if you ask him for help, he helps you. but his class is so boring and hard to understand his english no one attends to his class. that's why there're always twice more students on midterm and final exam day.
