Comment:

Awesome professor. Dr. Engle loves biology, and loves to teach, and as a result, his classes are fantastic. Tests are designed to be very non-threatening, but challenging. You definitely need to stay on top of assignments to get through.

Dr. Engle is by far my favorite professor at Wilson. He is so passionate about biology and the students he is teaching. He is such a happy person, he's there if you need help, he responds to emails quickly, and he is very knowledgeable about everything. He does have high expectations and hard exams though, but I actually love the challenge.

The class is understandable and the tests are fair, just hard. Lectures are pretty boring, but you have to actually show up. Lab can be boring too when he talks too long and ends up making the 3 hour lab go over time.

I've had classes with him from General Bio all the way to Senior Research and he is useless. He is unorganized, not helpful at all, and never even bothers to answer important emails. He is an awful research advisor who does not help his students or even show up to the scheduled research meetings. Ever.

Love the way he laughs! Very nice guy, knows the answer to almost anything if you ask him. Labs with him are fun..easy to understand, but tests are harder than Harriger's.

Prof Engle was a great teacher. I hated the split teaching in General Bio because he and Harriger have very different ways of teaching. He was very thorough with information and often repeated information so that it would stick in your head.Very passionate about science. I had him for LAB and his labs were always more informing than Harriger's.
