His test are so hard! You can study for hours and will still not know everything on the test. It is a general psych course but goes a lot more in depth. If I would've known how the class was before I registered I would not have taken it.

His tests are STUPIDLY HARD. I know people who have straight A's and bomb his tests. The questions are worded in the most tricky manner and he always does "All of the above. A & C. B&C" He doesn't give study guides or anything. He'll help you outside of class but dont expect to get higher than C's on the exams, and theyre worth 80% of your grade

I studied very hard and did everything he said to do to prepare for the exams, but the exams were unusually hard and also very subjective. Make sure you study and listen to every detail in lecture. I'm a straight A student and I've never taken exams harder than these.

Though he can be perceived as tough, Dr. Shepherd has very reasonable expectations for his students, and if you hold up your end of the bargain, you'll come out of the semester having learned so much. Go to class, make a solid effort, and you'll do well. He is very nice, funny, and real with his students.

I really enjoyed his class, there were 40 people in the class and he still memorized names and really tried to be helpful as much as he could. Give effort to get a good grade because the class isn't that easy but asking questions and for help are welcomed by Dr. Sheperd.

This class was definitely difficult, but I ended the semester feeling like I learned so much. He is willing to help you with any problems or circumstances that arise throughout the semester. He also gets all the information from the book, so it is absolutely necessary.

Class was hard. Need to read the book and study a lot. No study guides except the power points. He explains things well and in detail, just need to take notes and study hard!! He in general is a good teacher and is willing to help you as much as you need as long as you go to him and ask for help.

You have to study Not hard if you go to class and study.the test questions are sometimes tricky but there are freebies on every test He does explain stuff and he does get back to you if you have an issue, but if your not interested in Psych at all this class is not for you I advise to take something else

Have to put in work to do well. More than just memorizing terms, really makes sure you can apply. Can feel like he's trying to give trick questions, but if you understand the concept completely, it's not. If you're not a psych major or just want to skim by, try someone else bc you're likely to feel frustrated. Is an AWESOME course and learn A LOT.

He isn't the easiest professor there is. He wants to make sure that you are actually learning the material, not just memorizing facts for the test. He is a very caring guy who does have his quirks, but if you go to class AND read the book, you should do just fine and learn a ton of stuff. This is college, so he does expect adults who engage.

This teacher is awesome. He's nothing easy that's for sure-but he's a thrill to watch during lecture.I've had him for 3 classes so far and loved it. Although his multiple choicd tests can be a headache,you learn so much, it's worth the pain. It's better if you have any questions to ask him to go see him during office hours for a better explanation
