Dr. Panda is willing to answer all questions. However, the quizzes are extremely difficult. He likes verbatim mostly. Homeworks are fine but beware of the quizzes that make up most of your grade. He drops the lowest one though.

Fantastic professor. Very passionate about databases. The homeworks deviate from class material, they are actual SQL as opposed to theory; so you get a well rounded idea about databases and how they work. Will definitely take his advanced DB class when offered. Highly recommend him if you enjoy learning and working hard.

I believed the other people's comments here and took his course. But, NO. he is one of the worst teachers I've ever taken at U of A. memorizing definition? learned nothing important in this class. maybe easy class, but you just waste your time. hate this class so badly.

I never opened my book once. Just go to class and take notes, since that's what the exams are over. Pulling an A in this class is easy if you take decent notes and memorize where necessary. The assignments deviate from theory, in that you'll actually be using SQL. I probably totaled more time working on assignments than studying for tests.

Excellent teacher. Very good and clear in explaining concepts. Use a lot of example which makes things intersting. Has a lot of knowledge.... Jus needs to have a better grading system, you can miss a A if u miss just one question in his exam.

This class is easy, but very informative and educational. Just show up and take good notes. I passed with an "A" no problem, but others complain that it's very hard to get an A in his class. I think I had something in the range of 93-97 at the end of the semester. It is boring, though.
