CJ Masters - Scholarship course- course is intense, research, power point & oral presentation, difficult to obtain information he requires. extermely nice guy...tests are based more on book. go to class up until first test. then decidee if u need to go because he gives a gradee boost for attendence, but since he knows so much on the topic he is pretty boring

I took both of Professor Welsh's class in the same semester, and they are both pretty easy. Crime prevention is a little more challenging than Juvenile Delinquency, but it is also a 300 level class. Professor Welsh is a very nice guy, and I would recommend taking him.

He is a very smart and clear teacher who dosen't believe in exams at the grad level. However, not the easiest class to sit through every week but only requires 2 short papers and one longer one at the end of the term.

Comment:

Prof. Welsh is actually one of the premier researchers in his field, even as young as he is. He was able to take very dry material and make the lectures more interesting (at least in the grad. class). He's also very accessible for help and is a most helpful critic of writing. Totally worth taking.

Very clear.Too clear.I mean he is just damn right clear.He repeats himself and defines the same damn term 50 times.Lectures directly from the text book.Class is very boring and a waste of times and money.
