My favorite person on the FACE OF THE PLANET! Hands down the best professor anywhere. He's like the professors in those movies at those schools you wish you went to. He's the most effective lecturer, he combines anecdotes, current events, and everything e

Cogan is the best. He really gets students engaged. He can teach the boring theory stuff and make it interesting and he genuinely cares about his students and is helpful. Offered to write recommendations for those who wanted.

Cogan is the best! One of the best profs I've had, his humor makes class fun and interesting but somehow he gets the material in there too. Lots of class discussion and very relevant to everyday stuff. He's just a great guy too.

Very funny guy, knows his stuff and makes class interesting. Knew us by name even though there were a good amount of us, and was great with letting in the waitlist. I've taken him for Understanding Communications and Media Ethics, he was great for both!

Cracks up the entire class with jokes, at least 15% of class is pure comedy improv. Sometimes explains stuff we already know. He really knows his stuff. Tries to be balanced, fair to students, and never rude. But if you're late, hilarity ensues.

mass media and society. had reading and a summary/reaction due every class (twice a week). didn't get real grades, just check, check plus, or check minus. no other grading except final project. not a lot of work just sucks to have a grade on one thing

extremely anal about lateness. will embarrass students for it. good sense of humour. exams are vague. tends to be somewhat jerky with comments on papers.
