Brian, while often tired in class, taught this course completely differently than what I expected. Class relied heavily on discussion between students, which depending on interest level could be a good or a bad thing. Personally he's a wonderful man and I would recommend his classes to anyone interested in discussion and abstract thinking in art.

Class was interesting enough. frustrating when he expected a lot from students, yet repeatedly yawned, rolled his eyes, and claimed he was bored because he just taught the lesson to the previous class. If he's not interested, how the hell are we supposed to be? came off a little pompous.

If you pay attention in class, the tests and quizzes should not be too hard. They are no longer open book. I find Brian is very understanding and helpful, and overall I've loved the classes I took with him.

Brain is nice, but sometimes he wants u to think a little abstractly which can be hard. I did enjoy his lectures, I found the class interesting. He is a hard grader, however all of the tests are open notes.

Really interesting subject. Brian is a nice professor and will help you out, but sometimes his expectations can be really unclear. Instead of asking you to show you have studied or read, he asks you to show that you have "thought". It's a little hard to acheive in his class if you aren't an abstract thinker.

Brian is hot but that's about the only nice thing I'll say about him. He gives students way too much slack and has difficulty controlling his classes but seems to have no problem controlling what you say particularly if you are an opinionated woman. I wouldn't recommend this class.

Brian Cohen is very knowledgeable and has interesting opinions about the material he deals with. Clearly, he was heavily influenced by the late 80's early 90's pc movement that is somewhat outdated but a perfect topic for visual culture. Also: very attractive.

brian is british so he's got that going for him. articles are awesome, but he tends to cut kids too much slack. i agree that he has issues with strong women voicing their opinions. he likes boys better. but on the whole, he's good stuff.
