Was able to meet outside of class for every assignment, rants a bit in class, but emphasizes the important stuff. Not a math person, but I studied and asked about everything i didn't understand- it was fine. not everything from hw is covered in class. Just pay attention to the math things he says

His lessons are entertaining. This is coming from someone who does not enjoy math. Make sure that you understand what will be on the test: the aspects that are quantitate and conceptual. Come to class or you will be a step behind from everybody else. He rambles a bit during his lessons but you can always catch him during his office hours.

Dont take stats with Brian if you plan to actually learn something. Lectures are disjointed and unorganized. He also isn't a dedicated teacher, all he cares about is his status title as the head of the psychology department. He didn't meet with students outside of the classroom either because he "never had time" Take Stats with Todd Watson..

Sure, he might have emphasized the non-mathiness of statistics a bit too much (from the point of view of a math-oriented person) but he really engages with the material, loves what he teaches, and talks about beer a lot. Great professor, take any class he offers

This class was horrible. He focused to much on making stats fun for people that don't like math, and he clouded up the material. painstakingly boring as well, except for the m&m game.

Brian is a very, very funny man. Knows what he is talking about, and that can get you into trouble on tests (basically, don't **** your way through this course, you won't make it). But if you do the reading, take notes, and everything, you'll be fine.

Very cool, funny guy. Manages to make stats bearable. Easy to talk to, open. Uses clear and interesting examples. I'm finishing up with statistics and planning to take another class with him next semester.
