I hate lecture classes but the key to making it in his class is to take notes or know somebody that takes good notes because his lectures are his tests. You rarely use the book. his lectures don't follow the book exactly.

Great teacher. Lectures are both high quality and easy to understand. He is very good at getting his point across to the class. Take good notes and study them well and you will get an A on his tests. I didn't read the textbook a single time, and I got an A easily. Even non History majors would get enjoyment out of this class

This man is a wonderful teacher. He's very intelligent and probably the best teacher I've had at Tech. He knows his subject and thinks on a really interesting and deep level. He has very interesting views about issues relevant to the class. He'll answer any questions you have and has a great sense of humor.

In order to do good on the tests you need to pay attention to lectures and read the book. If you do this you should get an A or B. You do have to study for this class. He gives some bonus discussion opportunities. The class is very boring but you can tell that he loves the subject.

Very good teacher. Lectures basically the entire class but occasionally lets you out early. I never used the book I took lots of notes in class and studied a few days before the test. I took the three week summer class and got an A. He tries to be funny and it keeps the class interesting. Cant stress enough work hard on the reports he is picky.

Great teacher! Before this class, history was so boring, but he really makes it interesting. Take good notes and you won't need the book. If you look over your notes, tests are really easy. Highly recommend him!

Didn't like his class at all. I am a 4.0 student and, because of the first test, I made a B in the class. Not to be negative, but his tests seem ridiculously hard for the material. he tries to make the material interesting, and does manage to on some points, but it was hard to listen to him on TR classes for 2 hours. Will never take him again!

He is a great teacher, I have never been into History and I finallllly learned something! Yay! He is very helpful, and really nice. I took him for a 3 week summer session, and he was soo nice, laughed and jokes with us, and gave us breaks. I really suggest anyone to take him if they have the chance. Plus.. he's kinda cute. Married though with kids.

Not that great, boring. He takes roll but at diffrent times every class so that you can not leave early (his assist. takes it in back so you dont know). I was 1/10 a point away from an A and he wouldnt help me out. BORING and always holds until last minute.

Very interesting teacher. He is, sometimes, helpful if you go to his office. I am very sure that he does not cover everything that is on the exam, which makes his exams little hard unless you know the info from somewhere else. Hard to take notes cause he talks very fast. Not bad overall.

I really enjoyed his class. This was my first history class in college, and I didn't learn anything in high school history so his class was very interesting and I thouroughly enjoyed it! His test come straight from his lectures, I made an A on every test and didnt't even buy a book, but I studied my lecture notes alot!

Great teacher! One of the best Ive ever had! Very easy to understand... talks a little fast sometimes to write but not too bad. Lectures are interesting, hes very helpful! Nice guy! Likes him alot!
