His hour long lecture felt like it took centuries. Allows you to miss up to 4 classes without punishment, I used all four and still passed with an A. Changed the syllabus multiple times which got confusing toward the end, but overall not a bad class. Material was generally entertaining and made you think. Expect quite a bit of writing.

His class was good. Pretty easy yet sometimes he can be contradicting and confusing. He grades kinda harshly on the essays because he looks for specific things and if it's not in there the way he wants, then you loose points. Not very many exams. Overall class was good.

He is super funny but really sarcastic. He doesn't like stupid questions. He is really nice and helpful if you ask for help and gives good feed back. The tests are extremely easy and so are the weekly readings.

Very nice professor. He is quite funny and helpful when asked. He is open to new ideas and listens to students ideas. His class is interesting and is easy if you pay attention, which shouldn't be hard to do; he keeps lecture interesting.

Very opinionated and makes race related unpleasant comments (without realizing it). Also, not at all understanding of different learning styles of students in class. I don't think I'll take a class from him in future. Favors white students in class. BTW, I'm a white student and I noticed how he ignored comments by students of color in class.

He is very disorganized and cannot remember the names of the students in class. He even had trouble with half that class's names on the last day. He is unclear in his assignments and his lectures were also very disorganized. I didn't like him as a professor.

Love this teacher. Very humorous and I can tell that he has a passion for what he does. I will be taking more of his classes, they are pretty easy if you pay attention in class!

He is a bit dry in his lecture however attendance is a must because he does ask questions given in the lectures. So if you don't go to class then you miss out on the answer needed. He is more then happy to help but you need to do your part and ask. His grading scale is a little higher then other teachers. Some test questions are critical thinking.

I agree he picks a few to lavish with special attention. His quizzes are asinine with completely random questions, that he comes up with his own random answers to. He's not very engaging, he has a tendency towards abrasiveness and unproductive comments on your work. He took an intrinsically interesting subject and turned it into a giant turn off.

Very funny, a little dry. He is aware of his own mistakes and is pretty lenient because of it. I really enjoyed the topic of this class, and am glad I took it over regular general sociology.

Awesome professor. Those who say he plays favorites are making excuses for their own inability to put halfway intelligent thoughts together. He respects insight and effort. He's hilarious and intelligent.

The subjects he brings up are interesting, but he often does play favorities. I wasn't sure of what he wanted in the assignments, like someone else stated, he is random at times. I didn't enjoy attending his classes as much as I'd like.

Very good instructor. Pretty easy class if you read the assigned articles, which aren't much reading at all. There's no final or midterm for SOCI 1000. just a few quizzes and 3 papers. Pretty easy if you pay attention!!
