Although there's a lot of outside homework, this class was one of the best art classes I've taken. He really cares about your progress, and he offers solid advice because he wants you to improve. He will know if you're not trying, but hard work pays off in this class.

Life Drawing 1 is the hardest class I've ever taken. More work than all my other classes combined. Art significantly improved but at the expense of my sanity and sleep. Class taught in Matoaka Arts studio, which is really far from every other building on campus except ludwell apartments. Hard class but very rewarding

I think I learned more in his life drawing class than in any other class I've taken at W&M. That being said, I have no idea what his expectations are to get an A (seems nearly impossible) and he assigns hours of homework weekly. He also expects you to go to model sessions every Thursday night for three hours.

Prof. Kreydatus is an excelent teacher. He is very helpful and encouraging. I had no interest or talent for drawing the human form befre this class...my skills have greatly improved. He requires some homework outside of class, but do the work and you will improve.

Brian can be a tough guy, but hes tough because he has to be. his voice can be slightly monotonous at times and has a certain hypnotic flavour to it that can make you maybe fall asleep during a lecture!:) no but seriously he is one of the best. Definitely take a class with him if you can!

B is for BRIAN - I have taken both life drawings and lithography all of Brians class expect lots of TIME and EFFORT, don't expect to get an A! continually challenges. He is honest, tells it as it is. Very difficult prof but worth it!

This guy is no pushover, will challenge you whether you're a beginner or veteran, I learned so much from him, my art has improved from his teachings, he is not for someone who takes art lightly.

great teacher and even better artist. he's not easy if you just like art. if you re dedicated to art and actually do work outside of class, then you will learn more in his classes than in any other art class in the department (and you will get an A).

Brian almost killed my desire to ever draw again. I have never worked so hard and improved so much only to get a miserable comment or two. You will learn, but if you aren't his favorite, don't expect a grade that reflects your work.

I am taking my 2nd class with Kreydatus and plan on taking more before graduation. If you enjoy art and are willing to work a bit outside of class, he's an outstanding professor. Do all your work on time and you should get a B.

this man has changed my artistic life. His grading is very clear: work your ass off, he'll give you a B, work your ass of and have a moment of artistic and creative insight, then you get the A. His classes are for people who give a damn.

you can learn a lot from him but he is ridiculously unclear about grading, seems to play favorites, and it's impossible to get an A unless you're insanely dedicated.
