Fun class. Super knowledgable and seems know this stuff. He explains well and goes over the key stuff. The cases he teaches are so good you can't help but remember them. Exam heavy class but no big paper. Highly recommend.

Fantastic instructor --- he knows how to keep the class engaged and the cases he picks are so entertaining that it doesn't feel like you're studying! 25% Midterm; 35% Case Battle; 40% Final. All written work is done in groups. Wouldn't bother with getting the textbook since there was nothing in the exams that weren't covered in the lectures.

I really like his method of teaching. He doesn't make his students bored. The class was enjoyable and fun. Tests were fine and the text book is worth buying because it helped.

Really enjoyed this class. Best 3 hours and fastest ever. Also was interesting hearing stories from someone that previously worked in the system and knows it so well. Really makes a difference.

Other than the group stuff? A hilarious class. I didn't think I would like this but he made some pretty dry material really interesting. He picks some outrageous cases to help make a point. The case battles were fun other than a group fest, and the mock trial was fantastic. There isn't much homework until an exam and the classes are three hours.

A legend. Brian is an excellent teacher. The case battles we did were fun but the mock trial was the best. I'm glad I got a chance to have him for at least one class. The other teachers in Crim are good too, but he really is the best.

He is a very good teacher who is easy to approach with any questions or concerns. He puts a new spin on teaching and because of this is the kind of teacher that I will remember ten years from now. There should be more like him at Camosun.

I haven't been to Camosun or taken a crim class but this is the best. My other teachers don't have the enthusiasm he does. And he is too funny. We spend about half an hour each day talking about recent news and by the end of it you know so much stuff. I never miss a class. Addicted!

I had Brian on my first day at Camosun and he is what made me know I made the right choice when choosing Camosun. His humour provides a very warm welcoming and he is not boring to listen to. I wish he could teach all my classes. He also has a really nice smile!

This was a fantastic class. The three hours flew by. He is so engaging and being funny doesn't hurt. Even if I didn't want to go to class I would go just to see what he's up to and learned a ton of stuff anyway. He knows this material he teaches better than anyone I've ever had before. There should be more like him.

Brian is a true character, friendly, very professional, best teacher ever, make you laugh all the way throw the semester while learning about law great cases and the dum mind of criminals, super straight forward, won't ruin your mind neither stretch your brain. You will understand and easy pass if you read study and do all your assignments on time.

Brian is a really funny teacher. He really makes the material interesting and can make a 3 hour class go by quickly. The content is useful, and he is a great speaker. Can be rude, but that is what I loved about him. Very real.

Best class this term and ever. And it's 8:30 in the morning! I still show up. I really enjoy this class and wish he taught more but this is all he does. Not sure about the big mark for the cases as that is not done, but marking seems fair I guess. I would take another from him for sure.
