Although attendance is not mandatory for his class, missing too much class will put you behind on whats going on. He's clear with what he is teaching and makes himself available if you need help! His online homework is sometimes difficult and can be time consuming. DO NOT PUT OFF UNTIL THE DAY BEFORE. His tests can be hard but just study homework.

Look! This is a very difficult class!! If you want a good grade you have to be willing to work for it! All assignments were online, expect for exams! They were in class! Dr. Chase didn't require attendance and his expectations for us was to learn the material online. Class was easier than 211. Good luck!

I hated the fact that this class was online and had an in-class portion. The class was optional, pretty boring. He's a very nice guy, but I had to teach myself a lot. I would avoid this class if it is online. Tests are hard. All homework, etc. is on Connect.

Class was generally easy. He uses the software called Connect. If you read the book and complete all the assignments on time you should be fine. If you ask him questions through D2L he will answer right away with clear answers.

Comment:

Chase's class used McGraw Hill Learn Smart for the entire class. It is a great online program, however Chase's expectations were very lax and the only expectations of the course were through the online class. Attendance: not mandatory. Classes end early. Tests: Online. If go through his class and take your tests with friends you won't learn much.

Class material isn't the easiest but if you go to class you'll be fine! He grades homework and study guides weekly and they are on the computer and linked with your book so they are really easy. He drops the lowest exam grade. Also very helpful if you just ask. Would def take again!!!

He is very monotone, so it is hard to pay attention. He also lets you bring a computer, so it's very easy to not pay attention. I got tutoring in the LARC and it really helped!

Very easy if you just do the work. Attendance is not mandatory, but is important if you want to get a good understanding of the material. Lectures can be a bit boring, but the tests are extremely easy. I plan on taking Dr. Chase for 212 as well.

Must come to class, he doesn't teach the material very well but he does go over HW problems so that you can learn it for yourself. Gives 10 or more points on tests. Has a reading quiz or HW quiz online after every test. Overall a good teacher and would probably take him again

Self taught accounting. Your only option is to read the book on your own. He does not teach it. You will take a reading quiz and a homework quiz online EVERY WEEK. Your entire class period is reviewing the Homework you did for the online quiz, not him teaching the material. Material is hard. Numbers come from no where. Good luck.

Very nice guy, material is a little difficult unless you are really into math. If you do the assigned homework problems,the exams will be easy for you. He likes to laugh at students, and himself alot haha There are also quizes each week online but they are very simple!
