I'm a reasonable man. I also love avant-garde film. Bruce isn't interested in his students. He doesn't run a graduate class like a seminar. His lectures are unstructured, he's a narcissistic obscurantist with no sense of humor and a really terrible sense of how to engage a class. A terrible teacher.

Prof. Elder is by far the most intelligent person at the university. No student should pass up an opportunity to study with him. He is very open to student experimentation and gives students the utmost respect. He takes his role as teacher very seriously. You will come out of his class a changed person.

Bruce is the most passionate professor I've had at Ryerson. He taught us a lot of things about film that we should have learned a long time ago. His professional elective was definitely worth taking.

The smartest person at Ryerson. He seems to have read everything. Nothing more beautiful than listening to him weave together technical questions about film making with medieval philosophy and contemporary theory. A prize!!
