I have taken Prof. McClure on multiple occasions and have him again for a class this fall. He's always willing to assist students both in and out of class. Studying for his tests can be tedious regardless of the class, but the tests are very straightforward. I have him as my advisor for my focus as well.

He is awesome! I didnt do well on his midterm and he completely let me correct what I missed. He requires attendance but going and participating in class helps a lot on his exams. Hes a caring guy and will work with you, you just have to ask and show that you care!

Had him for both Crim Law AND Crim Procedure.. Worst experiences ever. The guy is nice, but his lectures are beyond boring & he's forever tangent-ing to ramble about irrelevant things. The exams are extremely difficult & you'll have to teach everything to yourself, as you learn NOTHING in his lectures. This class will stress you out of your mind.

Top 5 worst classes I've taken in my 4 years at NKU. McCLure himself is nice, yes. BUt that is where the positivity ends.. His lectures are like watching paint dry; he's beyond monotone & doesn't stay on the topic of the text whatsoever. Then the exams come out of NOWHERE as being the hardest exams I've taken to date. Hated that class.

McClure is fantastic and knowledgeable about his subjects. He is very funny and down to earth. He is not uppity and rude. He tends to be a little quiet, so sit near the front if you have difficulty hearing. TAKE GOOD NOTES! His tests are open note and you will not pass the tests if you don't take the notes directly from the book. Great professor!

I truly enjoyed taking a class with McClure. His lectures are interesting and worth getting up for class to attend. He is helpful and understanding and wants to see his students succeed. Make sure you take thorough notes from the text! Tests are open note but if your notes aren't specific, they won't be a big help to you.

Super easy! No attendance policy, hardly ever used the book, didn't read the novels, just took notes when I went to class, didn't even borrow someone elses when I did and still got a B+. All his tests, including the final were open note and he does all of his classes like that! Taking him for all of my pre-law classes! Piece of cake!

Professor Mcclure is one of the best teachers I've ever had. He doesn't **** and respects his students provided they respect him. I was fortunate to have the opportunity to be his student. His History of Western Political Thought was informative, thought provoking on many levels and one of my faves thus far at NKU. Go Bruce!!

Absolutely amazing. Took this as an elective (I graduate next week) because this guy's gone a long way towards influencing my career path. It's a lot of work, and you may need to dig it up on your own, but it's well worth the effort.

Nice guy, hilarious too. HOWEVER, he gives notes in plain to understand English but puts his tests in lawyer double-speak and writes them all strange and confusing. Bringing in Political Propaganda earns extra credit, good things too or I wouldn't have done as well as I did.

I took this course as a gen ed, and I'm quite happy I did. McClure has impeccable wit and teaches in such as way as to keep you guessing about his own personal beliefs. My only regret is that I won't get to have him again in my college career. He lectures thoroughly, but I recommend doing your own outlining of the chapters when studying for exams.

I have been fortunate enough to attend a few of his classes and he is indeed one of the best teachers you will find. Only lazy people who don't attend classes on a regular basis will fail. No homework and open note test's, which he will give you the answers the class before if you attend, lead to an A in the class. Just show up!!!
