i took him in fall, his class is pretty boring. however, he did make us write an essay every week. he is pretty lenient on grading but he doesn't give out any freebies. we had to write about 5 papers i got A's on 4 of them and a C in one ..

u only to do one essay every two weeks,2 or 3 essays base on the poem...u don't need to go to class everyday..just follow his syllabus...there're 4 or 5total essay, u can drop the lowest essay and rewrite one and one research paper...i got 3 essay C and one B and I got A on my research paper, I got B in the class...he's so boring though!

Instructor needs to retire before he lead students into a wrong direction and discouragement. In what supposed to be an encouraging environment at any entry level English class, I am very surprised at his ego & "self-righteousness" about his English ability. Overlooking students' hard work & participation is his greatest flaw as a facilitator.

Super boring, but easy class. All he makes you do is write an essay every week, which for some people is difficult, but for me it was pretty easy. No test or quizzes. Final is an essay. Really boring to go to class because he just talks the whole time and his voice makes you want to sleep, but its really easy to get an A or B in his class.

WOW...i absolutely would recommended to steer CLEAR from this class. very rude. rambles about who knows what...so boring i think i had a headache everyday from banging my head against the wall. people say hes an Easy A but for me it was DEFINITELY not worth it.

Great professor! i guess he's kinda boring but it takes up alot of class time and u dont have to do in-class work. and theres no homework. really easy grader, i got 100% on three of my essays and im known to be a procrastinator. i definetely recommend him. really easy A!

You dont need to do hw, no test. only thing is ...5 essays , one research...u can prepare for ur in class essay..only one time....he is so funny..give u extra cre..if you spend time on ur essay , find tutor..u will do so well..i got 105% last time..he is amazing..give 100% in essay! BEST TEACHER I'VE EVER HAD. Very influential. Knows his poetry. Doesn't ramble on or jump into and out of diff ideas. He just thinks associatively. You don't have to show up for class but if you decide to AND get involved he'll show you a lot about writing poetry. Don't be lazy and you'll be OK.

He is the worst teacher I have ever had! His class was the most boring class I've ever taken. It was a complete waste of my time. I didn't learn one thing except that he was a horrible teacher. You write paper after paper. There easy, but he gives horrible feedback. DONT TAKE HIM!!

I don't see why everyone gave him a low rating, i took this teacher and found him to be very helpful and fun to have a class with. the homework is easy, the essays are a little bit of work, and this is coming from a guy who can't speak English well. he is a great teacher, don't believe all the sad faces about him, you have to go to see yourself

These comments are right, DO NOT TAKE HIM. Incredibly dull, doesn't seem to know what he's doing. All in all, the class is a general waste of time and money. Stay away unless you are just incredibly desperate to get into an english class. But more than likely, you'll end up dropping too.
