Despite the fact this class is not related to my major I am still glad that I took it. The content may dry at times but he does his best to make it interesting. He is very flexible and easy to understand. The work load isn't bad either. If you need a SIDI, I highly suggest you take it. Even though its an honors class it is very easy.

Very enthusiastic about the subject matter. Never have I had a teacher step out to catch his breath because he was getting so excited about volcanoes. He keeps it very fun. I remember more from his environmental geography class than I do from any other class I've taken in college. Participate and take notes and you'll do well.

Middlekauff is good professor. He does expect a lot from his students, but his demands are not unreasonable. Just do the work, go to class, and you'll do fine.

Yes, he is difficult. Yes he expects you to do the work and yes he expects you to be in class. What do you expect? This is college. He is tough and he makes you think for yourself. If you want a sail-through class, take basketweaving. His classes are challenging but you learn so much it is worth it.

I graduated Plymouth State College in 1991. I had Dr. Middlekauf for several classes during my period there. He is a great professor and a great guy. Very interesting and knowledgable about the subject. I am glad to see that he is still teaching. Sincerely, Gerard Hamel
