Comment:

Considering this was a 400 level class, it was pretty easy. There was one semester-long paper with a presentation and a group project. Basically all the class time is spent in the computer lab so we can work on our projects. He's a nice guy and grades fairly easy.

Buddy is a great public speaker, and in general a rad dude. His classes are interesting and funny. He assigns a lot of "10 minute" quick writes during class, plus four papers throughout the semester. The work load is not overwhelming, and meeting the deadlines are well-worth taking a class from Buddy. He's insightful and helpful while critical.

If you want to sit in class and listen to E list celebrity talk about himself all day go for it. seriously, most of the class is spent with him telling stories about his life, or fan girls worshipping him. He offers no real critiques and spends more time judging the themes you chose to write about.

Buddy was fantastic. He is a great creative writing teacher who is both supportive but able to provide strong critiques. He uses the class setting optimally to achieve his goals and I noticed improvement in the whole class through the semester. Despite his busy schedule, Buddy went out of his way to help me out when I was struggling. GREAT PROF.

If you don't take any of Buddy's classes while you attend WSU, you are not a Coug. He is absolutely wonderful, helpful, and always supportive. Throughout the 4 semesters I took Buddy, I probably missed 4 classes total- you will want to come to class. You can and will learn a lot from Buddy- oh and he has own show on the History Channel- BA.

Buddy is my favorite teacher at WSU. He is a hard worker and does have a passion for his job. He is extremely easy to talk to and is not intimidating. His insight is incredible and he is on the history channel which is pretty cool. Buddy is a great teacher and I wish I could take another one of his courses.

Summer Session 402... lots of work, almost no wasted lecture time, the class was mostly just meet in computer lab... get your work done... Buddy was awesome help in developing ideas and proofing work... reduced course load for summer, normally more papers are due... would recommend for any english class

I really enjoy his classes, but sometimes wonder if he likes giving advice or the sound of his own voice better. His caustic humor and witticisms certainly make the class entertaining. However, his constant interruption of students makes him seem like he's trying to be the 'cool' guy in class. Not something I look for in a professor.

I only took this class with him because of the good reviews on this site -- and they were all so true. This guy is hilarious and treats his students as equals. The projects were fun, and I know I'm not the only one who was actually sad when the class was over. Wish I could take it all over again!

Buddy is one of the best professors in the english department. His structure is easy-going. He lets you know what you have to do for the semester and then it is up to you to do it. He isn't going to baby you. He knows what he is talking about and makes class really interesting. Attendance is mandatory, but you don't want to miss it.
